Has anyone used the shuttle service from Nick Hotel to Universal Studios/ Islands of Adventure or Sea World? I am just wondering how early we can be at the park and how often they come back for pickups. I have heard that they only come once or twice perday for pick ups and also that they come hourly to the parks. Anyone know for sure? Thanks

we were there in april. there had shuttles that went to all the major parks. they had a schedule. i had a car which i recommend, especially if you want to go out at night.

Hasen't ANYONE used the provided transportation to the parks ( not Disney parks though!)? I am trying to set up Character Breakfasts at IOA but have NO idea how early we will be able to get to the park for it or if we will be stuck there ( with a toddler) all day or can return to the hotel to nap. Please help!!!! Thanks

i would call the hotel. its printed on a paper so they will be able to give you the times. i forgot the times, but if you don't have a car, maybe you could take a taxi. the hotel is so close to the entrance to WDW. On the way to the hotel from the airport , I missed the street to turn and the next block I was at the entrance to WDW.
I'm sure the hotel can help you.
like i said, i rented a car, They only had a few times that they left and i or 2 times for pickup.

Thanks ValDisney! Scary thing is that I have called the hotel and STILL cannot get a straight answer. They told me it is hourly, BUT no one who has stayed there says that. Most agree with you and seem to think it is like 2x per day! Just trying to plan ahead and make the most of the $20 resort/ transportation fee!!!!! Do you have any tips or pointers for me since you recently stayed there? Any information regarding the hotel, dining ( especially), shows etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Subscribing.

I'm trying to figure this out too. I was thinking of booking a few days at the NickHotel before we start our stay at ASMu in August. I would love to know the travel schedule. I remember awhile back when I was checking out the hotel that the site used to have current bus schedules posted but it looks like they've pulled that.

hi
i know what you mean about wanting to take advantage of the resort fee. It's not like disney where the buses keep coming. I never needed a car b4. I loved having it. disney is right down the block so it was easy to get too. The parking lot was fll so I think alot oid people had cars. we stayed by the pool the first 2 days but at night we left. We went to citywalk one night (loved margaritaville) and the another night we went to downtown disney,
We didn't do any shows. we didn;t want to leave the pool during the day.
one night they showed the nick choice awards by the pool.
there was a subway and pizza hut in the nick mall. There is also a small giftstore there too.
we had the character breakfast which we enjoyed (you can't use the kids eat free there). You can use the kids eat free for the regular breakfast buffet.
They know the ages bc at checkin you get wristbands and my kids had orange to show that they can eat free.
when you check in you get the wristbands and a pamplet of the activities.
we ate dinner there one night (i needed to take advantage of something) which was fine.
One the last day we went to typhoon laggon so i'm glad I had the car.
if you feel you need to come back for naps, I really woudl recommend a car.
I remember one time we stayed at the hilton for a couple of days and it was awful getting back. after that , i only stay onsite (unless I have a car)
the thing that bugged me about the nick was you pay this resort fee and everything is extra. they had crafts and they said addional charges which was the same for many shows.
if you kids want to get slimes they do it by the pool. it was in the afternoon and most of the kids (and adults) stood around waiting to be slimed.
The lifguards were great.
overall my kids enjoyed it and want to go back. I will only go if I get another good rate. I will not pay the rack rate.
if you have any other questions, let me know
