We are going President's week and from what I see it supposed to be a little chilly. Is the pool heated? We are paying $250 a night andI'll cancel if the kids can't use the pool and just spend $50 a night somewhere else.

Thanks!

yes it was heated, I'd say maybe around 75 or so, just to warn you though, if's not very busy during the week, they close it early(around 7pm), I was not impressed with that because by the time you got back to the hotel from the parks, you didn't have time to use the pool.

It is supposed to be heated, but when we were there in December 2005 the water was very cold.....even DS did not want to swim (and he is a fish).

:fish:

When were you there in Dec? We were there the 11-18th, although the pools were heated, the air was so cold that as soon as you got out of the water, you froze!

Has anyone been there in beginning of Nov.? How is the water temp in the pools then?

We were there December 5th. We stayed there one day when we returned from our cruise.

Just to think how cold it is now in Orlando (Sorry for those in the Northeaster corridor!), to dive inside a pool.....CHIIIIILLLL!

Maybe for President's day, it would be a nice hot one! Orlando weather is UNPREDICTABLE!

I actually called and they SAID it was heated to 85 degrees... We're going in early March, so I have the same concern....

Yep, that's what it was when we were there the first of December. Not one complaint about the pools being to cold. but we thought the whole place was perfect. I sure wish we were there now.....It's raining and getting cold here at home......I miss Spongbob and Dora.....God did I just say that?? I need some sunshine and warm weather......

yes, the nickhotel pool IS heated. we spent the 4th-11th of feb there. ask questions if you wish.

we had stayed there 2 times before when it was holiday inn family suites.

I checked weather history and it looks like the week of Feb 4 - 11 had typical highs in the upper 60's and lower 70's... Was that warm enough to swim? I know the pools are heated - but what was it like when you got OUT of the water?

This is our first trip to the world - and I sooooo want everything to be perfect for DD4 and DS2. Too bad we can't control the weather!

We were there last January and the outside temp was in the l 60's with rain one day and the kids spent a few hours in the pool. I work in an indoor heated pool year round and our water temperature is about 86 degrees, the water at Nick felt about the same temperature, I would guess their quote of 85 degrees is pretty accurate.

we were there Dec 26 2005-Jan 2 2006. It was heated. According to the hotel reps, they keep it at 80. the kids had to be dragged out.

We stayed at the Nick Hotel for 7 days! during the first week of november and the water temp was fantastic. That is usually about the end of Hurricane season according to our Chief Metrologist at work and I have to say he nailed it perfect the days were warm about 80 and very dry no humidity.
Have a great time,Richie V.
