I have to admit that after seeing Pop Century from a distance, I am not so impressed and don't think I'll be lining up for ressies. I'd say that the most special resort in that category has to be ASMo. In my personal opinion, no other value resort has that Disney feel to it. Disney has a hard job beating itself on that one. What do you guys think?

AllSTAR MOVIES for us. 107 days left, 9 nights at Allstar movies, 2 nights at Dolphin.....CBR 99 ALLSTAR Movies Feb2001 Allstar Music Aug 2001..........................

For what you are getting, All-Star Movies is worth it. We stayed there last year, and it definately had a 'Disney' feel to it. Although not as much as others, it still was cool. The rooms, while being small are well-equipped, and the outside decor of the hotel buildings is cool, with oversize Dalmations, Mighty Ducks, Fantasia and Toy Story figures. Hope this helps.

We really liked ASMU but there All Star Movies is our fav! There is nothing like coming back after a day at the parks and still feeling like you didn't leave the magic behind! Disney magic surrounds you 24/7 when you're there, IMHO. The food court also is great for our family, we enjoy the wide selection. We love the ASMO! Can't wait until we are back there Easter 2003!

We leave in 2 days for ASMo!!! I hope we get the Toy Story section as requested!!! :)

We have stayed at all 3 and like All Star Music the best. 2nd would be All Star Sport's. 3rd would be All Star Movie's. ( We had a very bad CM check us in. Very rude and condescending.) Yes we talked to a supervisor and got it straightened out.

We think the Movies is nicest....and have walked them all and stayed at Music and Sports. The grounds seem newer.....perhaps because it's the most recent resort of the values, to be completed. The theming is a lot of fun to look at as well.

If you haven't seen photos or many, stop by our website as we've got over 100 between the 3 resorts.

We like All Star Music the best. I think the grounds are nice and there does not seem to be as many kids.

Jen in MA -

I just sent you a couple of Private Messages concerning your request for the Toy Story section. Had some advice that might help you out if you get there and aren't put in the Toy Story section.

That was our request too, before we head out to AKL. Mind sharing your tips? I also requested Toy Story in my ressies.

Last time they placed us in the ugliest section (yes, the ASMo has such area): The Mighty Ducks! It is soooooo boring, but if you want a very quiet area in that resort, ask for that one. The pool was nearly empty all the time. Everyone went to the Fantasia pool. And if you have people staying in the Music, you'll be a walk away from them.

Could you let me in on it. It's my son's birthday and he really wants that section.

My DS (15) likes Movies the best, and my DH and I like Music. We've stayed at moderates (POR and CSR) and a deluxe (Poly) and prefer the All Stars! We think you get the most bang for the buck and that the theming is just great! I get a much stronger Disney presence at the All Stars than at POR, for example, but that's just me.

I guess my problem is that I know what $300 a night gets you in the real world (even NYC!), and the resorts at WDW in that price range just don't compare. On the other hand, the All Stars compare more favorably with hotels in their price range.

I think it would come down to your family's interest. We love sports, especially DS and I. We had a blast wondering around the resort looking for the banners of our fav. teams. We were in the basketball building. We spent quite a bit of time looking for hidden "Tarheel" banners. Gotta make sure the Heels have more than the Dukies! :D Well it was a fun game for us anyway. The theming was perfect for us. Movies would be our second choice ( a distant 2nd). Not into music. I think the resorts are very similar, other than the theming. Just depends on what you family is into. By the way, we've stayed at a few of the resorts before we bought our RV and the all-stars were our fav. More family friendly. We recommend them to all our friends and so far every one has loved them. The one thing I always warn them about is the noise. But hey, I wouldn't have friends who didn't like kids and couldn't handle them making a little noise. :)
