Hi all,
this picture was taken one and a half weeks after sept 11 at a dept funeral.It's a real shame how low some will go to,to prove thier point.I forgot i had this pic and just found it last night.also this group showed up at a fire house a week after this stunt with the same posters and the nypd had to remove them in fear the FDNY guys inside was gonna hurt them.

I was so glad to see our govenor pass a law making it a felony to protest within so many feet of a military funeral. Last week there was a soldier in Kokomo that was killed and his familys house was vandalized and they recieved threating phone calls from these "so called" christians. As a christian I am saddened to see what others do in the name of God.

Here in Mass we are familiar with these folks, they've come here to protest. Recently a group of bikers came and stood around the funeral to block these so called protestors.

I don't quite understand why they're protesting at soldier's/firefighter's funerals. Because they're defending a "gay nation"? That doesn't even make any sense. Why are they protesting at funerals? Why not city halls or other government buildings? I sure hope no one sets these people's house on fire. Seriously, did they not even think of that?

While I don't know for sure the answer, I think its because funerals and firehouses will get them time on the news, where city halls and government building won't. Its so outragous that it always makes the front page and the evening news.

This group and their actions disgust me.

It is my understanding that these people are members of the Fred Phelps Family. All their signs are pre-printed, anyone else notice that? The "Fred Phelps Family" is basically a type of cult that mistakenly calls itself Christian. (This so-called "church" has Baptist in its name, I believe.)
They have no understanding of any of Jesus' teachings.
If Jesus were walking the Earth today in his bodily form the Phelpers would probably have nothing to do with him since it's a well-known fact that he consorted with *gasp* SINNERS.

I'm glad that they don't come all the way to Texas to protest, at least not so far. The police here would have a rough time keeping them from being injured.

My FIL is a member of the Patriot Guard riders (the Motorcycle "gang" that stands between the families and the protesters). My husband also has been considering joining. The group does not have an official stance on the war, but their stance is that the funeral of a soldier is not the place to protest. They are trying to protect the dignity of fallen soldiers.
The protesters are crazy. I wonder if they think that they actually illicit some response from the public besides disgust.
