Nice priced hotel near universal entrance?

I think I finally found the right forum for this question. Planning a trip May 28th-Jun 4th for Universal.

I found Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Main Gate To Universal Orlando which is 1 mi. from the Universal entrance for $79/night. Taxes included.

Does anyone know anything about this hotel or recommend something else?

We really aren't planning anything Disney per se, mostly Universal. A day trip to Daytona, and maybe something else at this point.

i mean within walking distance, and beleive me it's a walk.a loooong walk the parking lot is farr..we stayed on site at hard rock hotel and just walked over, but last yr we stayed offsite and wow, looong walk to get even close to the parks and we paid extra 20$ for preferred parking
