Well this weeks question has to do with everything WDW has to offer... But we may not know about...

What little secret places do you know or Special out of the way areas to you vist? What is the Hidden Beauty of WDW from your prespective...?

One of mine is the Water Garden in Japan. I love to just sit there and have a cup of java and relax... I also love to watch the trains in Germany.

Well, this is not quite as romantic as Nat's great little spots, but my little secret is a restroom at the Boardwalk. I usually park at the Boardwalk, since I have to finish off the day by visiting Leighton, and my first stop is usually a restroom inside the Boardwalk Conference Center. In all the times I've gone there I think I've only met one other person (except the night of the wedding - lol), so I like to think of it as my own private bathroom that Disney maintains just for my use. :D

Nat,
I used to think those trains were great, and a great place to sit and watch WDW go by, until Richie put them in our backyard. I have spent hours at WDW sitting there watching him take photos for ideas, and talk to the landscape people about how they make those big bushes looks like they fit in.
but my favorite place is in Canada. In Victoria's Garden I love to lean on the rail with a Beaver Tail in my hand and watch the ducks splash around. I wish they would put in some benches. Or over by the waterfall, it is about 10 degrees cooler over there, and very refreshing when you are chomping on a hot Beaver Tail covered with Hazelnut chocolate topping.
Or maybe watching a show at the American Pavilion while enjoying a Kaki Gori.
Wait, I forgot, sitting on the benches near Swiss family tree house with a Dole whip.
Oh, maybe sitting on the rocking chairs near Country Bear with a Chicken Wrap. Leslie will have the Turkey leg, but give me that chicken wrap any day.

Is that what you were looking for Nat? Peggie

Yup... a few hidden treasures... Now I gotta go and get a snack:D

.......but the Annual Passholder's Lounge at AK is my family's favorite little-known, sort-of-hidden pleasure.....would *love* to see these in all the parks...

Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer's Island used to have chilled chicken which made a good lunch but they no longer serve it. The seating area is still one of the best seats in the Kingdom. I get a spot in the sun at the rail and watch the world go by. It is important that you get a table in the sun so you get a butt burning seat. I first discovered this place in August and here in Maryland it gets cold by September. When you get home you quickly forget that it could actually be warm enough that something like that could happen.

Did someone say turkey leg??:D

One of my favorite hidden spots is the perennial garden behind MouseGear at Epcot. There are purple martin bird houses there and it is fun to watch them. I also like to sit on a bench in the shade by the escalator to the Wedway Peoplemover...(I know....they changed the name, but it escapes me right now). It's not a quiet place, but a fun place to sit and people watch while the kids are on Space Mountain! Not to mention that they sell turkey legs right there!:D

...and on occasion, Jiminy Cricket appears in that garden......one tough character to find otherwise.....we found him there this year on Earth Day. :)

Well over the years my fav places have changed. My fav place used to be the Yacht Club Pool. HEHE When Britt and I first used to go to EpCot we were walking one day and found the pool. It was great for a long time It is my fav pool at WDW but of course now everyone knows about it...

I would have to say that my fav place to get cool and unwind is the American Adventure show. I love to go to and never get tired of watching it. But my all time fav. treat at WDW that many people miss (not you guys of course) is the ice cream counter next to Tiki Room. I just love their orange julius/ vanilla ice cream swirl.. There is nothing better on a hot day to bring your temp down.

My favorite place is the Animation Museum behind the Animation Gallery store in MGM. It is very quiet there except when the show lets out which is about every 30 minutes. The people quickly disperse and I have it all to my self to just admire the paintings, drawings, sculptures etc. It is a place I have to vist everytime I walk in that store. Guess it is the artist in me.
