NFL Playoffs

It is simple. People have always hated consistent winners. I understand how you feel. Really I do.

Yep I understand too. ;)

I don't have an issue with it...he played hard all season and during the Super Bowl....What is he supposed to do curl up in a ball and cry over a loss?
..:goodvibes

...no, I totally agree with you - neither he nor the rest of the Pats should 'curl up in a ball and cry'...the point I was making was that there was this big to-do over his injury, yet he sure didn't even RESEMBLE being hurt on that dance floor. If any player of any of the teams of which I root had and 'injury' and then showed up shakin' his groove thing after a MAJOR loss (ie: Superbowl, World Series, etc.) I'd be kinda tee'd off...

:thumbsup2

[...coming from the NY area, I'm a big Giants AND Jets fan - I know, I know, it shouldn't be humanly possible!]

....I DON'T begrudge the Steelers being 6-time champs. I think they are an awesome team - even regardless of all that smack talk regarding Rothliesburger[sp?]. Hines Ward is a cutie-patooty and one of my all-time FAVORITE players!

But the man played, and played his heart out, injury or not. He's not Manny Ramierez, faking an injury to get out of playing against the Yankees and then partying. Gronk doesn't need to apologize for partying after the game. And if I was a Pats fan and saw that, I'd have no problem with it. Life is short, party when you can.

It was a little strange to see him moving around so well on the dance floor considering the ankle injury, but you're right he worked hard all season (and had the best season for a TE ever) and also worked hard to rehab the ankle before the game so I don't think there is anything wrong with him having a good time.

Grooving on the dance floor is waaaaaaay different than making cuts on the football field. Give me a break. Also I am not sure how easy it is to move when your ankle is taped under your sock and then retaped over a shoe. Seems restricting.

As a disclaimer, I am not a Patriot fan (DH is). As of right now I am not a fan of any team really. Originally from Pittsburgh but just not able to really root for the team right now. I would be a Jaguar fan but I just know as soon as I do that they will be moved to LA. So as of right now I am an impartial observer of all things NFL.

....sorry, double-post...

....too bad no one showed up...

We would have LOVED to have been there.

DH says that's the only time he would WILLINGLY go into the city.(he hates it)

***Oh and for Yankee's games

I would have loved to be there too, but I have to give advance notice to get a day off. And with my luck, if I had called in sick, my picture would have been on the front page of the paper! But I was able to watch it on the internet, so I certainly had a good view.

This is just freaking awesome! :thumbsup2

Nice to see so many people show up and appreciate the teams win. Its also great that a city appreciates a teams win so much that the city goes on hold for a little while for the big celebration.

I took the day off of work and took my DS (11 at the time)out of school to the parade the city gave when our Steelers won Superbowl 43. We froze our black and gold bums off, but it was the absolute best. I don't regret it for a second. We arrived very early and were smack dab up against the fence. We got some great pics and memories.

Great job Giants and Giants fans!

What's even more impressive is that's just one of the celebrations. At least 1 million in the city and another 20,000 or 30,000 in NJ. And I haven't heard about any arrests (doesn't mean there weren't any). We know how to celebrate!
