next weekend crowds

ANyone try and look at reservations next weekend?? Alot is booked solid!!!
Now Im nervous about this trip!! YIKES!! Anyone know if maybe they are working on rooms over in the MK area and maybe that is why they are not available???? There are Epcot resorts open but I figure that is because I dont want to stay there this time!!! I ALWAYS stay there and this time I want to try something new!!

We'll be there. Sarasota County schools have off for a teacher conference day on Friday and DH has to be in Orlando Friday for a meeting, so we'll be making a very quick escape to WDW. Several counties have 10/14 off, so maybe that's some of the crowd? Hope it won't be too bad! Enjoy!

While I expect EPCOT to be packed during the weekend, I don't think it's going to be as bad as you fear. We decided just the other night to go ahead a head to WDW for the same period. (We'll be there Oct. 12-16.) When we called for ressies, only a couple of places appeared full (mostly deluxes -- which surprised me since there are no codes out right now). We even had a selection of rooms using the AAA discount. Off-site (At first, we'd thought we'd try doing the trip "on the cheap" -- Ha Ha! -- It just isn't going to happen for us. ), pretty much ALL of the resorts had vacancies and deep discounts. Many folks on the boards had also mentioned fears that MNSSHP would sell out on the 14th. Again, we had no difficulty getting tickets for it. Hopefully, the crowds will be manageable.

Just wanted to say we are here right now and the crowds have been "moderately heavy" if that makes sense, LOL. Heavier than we are used to, but not too bad. The CM checking us into the Polynesian on Friday night claimed they were "90% full". (0f course, they have rooms down for rehab right now too)
