I love the Save the dates! The castle looks so beautiful up against the black background, nice choice! For the Newsletter we did this type of format:
Greeting: included date, location, the fact that the planning guide was designed to help plan the disney vacation, blah blah blah, we'd love for you to join us.
Why we chose Disney: "Happiest place on earth" our fave place to visit, lots of lodging and entertainment options.
Rather than doing a pre-RSVP we added a section worded like this: "We understand that not everyone will be able to attend. Many of you are far from Florida and we realize that we are asking a lot. If you have any questions, or if we can help you at all in the planning process please feel free to contact us at <email address>. We hope you will be able to join us. If you are positive that you will not be able to attend (and would like to be excluded from future mailings) we'd really appreciate if you could let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. (because of the venue we are very limited in the # of guests we are allowed)
Then we did a "Traveling to Disney World" section with info on Magical Express, the benefits of staying on Disney property, basic pricing, link to Disney's website for more info on various resorts, and then a section about the option of staying off Disney property with a link to Expedia and Travelocity to research options.
Then we did a Disney dining plan section to explain dining plans and pricing. This seems to confuse people the most IMO. I just did a table comparing the plans and a link to the Disney website for dining info/reservations.
Lastly we did a section on theme park tickets explaining that tickets were optional and not needed to get into our ceremony or reception. I did a table listing prices and explained the base ticket and hopper option.
We ended with this: "We hope that this makes planning your trip to Disney world easier, feel free to contact us if you need further information. We hope that you'll be able to join us!"
I hope some of this is helpful! Personally I'd take out the wedding day events part because it is still early and you'll probably include that in your invitation anyway.
