We used the free lockers last trip. It was a MUCH smarter move than those lousy bins in the raft. Between that and wearing my swimsuit, I almost enjoyed this poorly designed ride...almost. (I couldn't believe there was a 75 minute wait for this thing - I know it was hot, but I'd rather do anything than wait 75 minutes for this ride.)

It's not the effects - it's the lameness of a raft ride that is essentially a single drop with no other features whatsoever. I've said it before (probably in this thread) but see Bluto's Bilge Rats or Grizzly River Rapids for how a raft ride should be done. Kali RR stinks and always has. (And I LOVE animal kingdom.)

And to think AK was supposed to get Tiger Tiver Run which was almost double the size of Kali but budgets get in the way.

Shanghai is also getting what looks to be an amazing raft ride.

Considering those raft rides are quite cheap to build compared to other ride systems, it is a shame someone decided Kali was good enough to get built. Disney has shown they can build a good raft ride, so hopefully they'll make some improvements to Kali in the future.

Agree 100%. We never go anymore. Bilge is awesome on a hot day. Never did Grizzly, wish we had now.

I love Kali. The fact its relatively tame (as thrill rides go) is part of why I love it. It could stand to be longer, but I always do Kali every visit.

nice to see a few additions. I didn't see anything about the reserved seating section this year for the "eat to the beat" concerts. But I'm going Saturday and Sunday so I'll have to look into that. Luckily my Chase Visa Debit card worked just fine last year. The other thing is since FPs can be booked for the concerts, they may have eliminated that from the Chase lounge.

I can see the appeal, it is well done to look at etc, we just love getting drenched which is NOT for everyone of course.

They don't cover hockey because it's a supremely expensive sport to play and therefore isn't a viable economic option for most Americans...therefore no market.

And bettman continues to allow the Canadians to make it nearly unwatchable...

Blocked shots and Greco Roman cycling in the corners isn't interesting to anyone south of Thunder Bay, Ontario

Personally I think hockey is a far more entertaining sport than basketball or soccer. But regardless if you're flaunting yourself as the 'worldwide leader' you should cover ALL sports

FYI, it's possible that this restaurant is either previewing to certain people or soft-opening behind construction walls--we were at DTD (ahem, DS?) a couple of nights ago for Jock Lindsey's and there was a hostess just inside the walls and people going in and out.

FYI, it's possible that this restaurant is either previewing to certain people or soft-opening behind construction walls--we were at DTD (ahem, DS?) a couple of nights ago for Jock Lindsey's and there was a hostess just inside the walls and people going in and out.

We were at the Hangar Bar for opening day and sat next to two servers that just got off from Morimoto's. The said they are having servings all this week and weekend for VIP's, senior CM's and a lot of front office Disney people. No "soft opening" as it were that they knew of. I would assume that's what was seen.

We've been several of his properties, looking forward to seeing what offerings he has here at Disney. Although looking at the early menus, it appears it's no better than any other random Asian inspired restaurants.

The other locations we visited had a much broader menu selection that catered to more unique and genuine Japanese cuisine. Sorry to see this on the Disney menu. I can get Kung Pao and Orange Chicken anywhere.

The Popeye ride is probably the best ride of it's type I've ever been on. Kali was the worst until I went to Holiday World. Imagine Kali with NO effects.

I really wish they would rework some of the backstage area so they could build an extension to the ride.

I am guessing they will be the same burritos that are at Tortuga Tavern. I got one from there in August and it was actually pretty good. Having them offered year round and not having to rely on Tortuga rarely being open will be nice.
