Good thing I leave the 11. However, space mountain really needs a much longer refurb to fix most of its problems.

I would be willing to give up a year of Space Mountain if a better experience were to emerge. Unfortunately, I'm not the guest they are worried about.

From what I've heard there are structural problems with space mountain and problems with the track and to the point where it could really be rebuilt on the inside. There actually was a plan to do this years ago but it never happened. When the lights are on you can see spray paint markings where work was supposed to happen.

They hate hate hate shutting e-tickets for any substantial amount of time. Almost to the point where I wonder if anyone ever proposed building a replacement Space Mountain and disassembling the original when complete.

If they ever removed Speedway, this would be possible (cost effective, probably not), but I bet people would revolt.

Has Disney reduced FP availability lately? Last time I checked the dibb site was right before summer and it seemed even Anna and Elsa and the Mine train were available at the 30 day mark, and easily at the 60 day mark.

Party season is a big factor with the reduced hours for MK. Also, since it's the off-season, there are less operating hours across the board and Disney may not be planning on operating most of the rides at full capacity.

Well Phil is gone now and a four month refurb was just announced for BTMRR so things could be going in the right direction.

Well I know a lot of affects in IASW need work also.

Swiss has been touched much in a long time I don't think this will be a retheme just a major refurb.

Difficult to say. DLP is probably getting the new effects, but just like DL, it will take a whole year to refurbish. However, in those cases the tracks were fully replaced. I don't know how long it would take to install the new effects without the track replacement at MK.

Exactly. MK doesn't need the track replacement. DL was a 14 month refurb, Paris 13. Both were very extensive refurbs. Four months will still be a good amount of time to add affects and fix up the ride.

I'm a big fan of this kind of plussing. BTMRR is a great multiple-ride coaster for when the park is closing. Any new effects would be most welcome.

Well it's still safe for now but it does need a lot of work its in pirates territory.

Don't worry, they've just been adding a whole bunch of breaks to the track to slow it down. Now if you're not one who loves jerky rides, that's another thing...
