Thanks for sharing that! The article also said that they could begin construction very shortly. That's much better than the 2021 projections! Three years to build, puts us at late 2018 early 2019 opening!
They also said that this would open before Disneylands which I'm skeptical of because Disneyland doesn't seem to be getting as much as DHS would so I would think it would take less time to build at Disneyland. And everyone has different timelines so I don't know what to believe for sure right now. Most say that construction should most definitely start this year after the D23 announcement.

Maybe Pixar expansion for 2018 and Star Wars 2020 or something like that? Star Wars land should be done before the 50th, otherwise MK will be so unpleasantly crowded that it will have a negative effect on guest satisfaction.

Comcast quarterly earnings report is out and looks good.

Domestic parks and resorts cash flow was up 44.9% in the second quarter and theme park revenue increased 25.7%.

And then a quote from Comcast CEO Brian Roberts

"Our terrific momentum at parks continues. The enormous success of the new Harry Potter attraction in Orlando was sustained in the second quarter. Our strategy of consistently launching new attractions is really working."

It couldn't be that they *gasp* hasten the pace of the construction? That would be some serious magic right there

So before I put this out, I'd like to remind everyone that thisisinfamous is the same organization that put out the sketchy post about DHS, so take this with a very very large grain of salt.

Via Disney and more, According to this report be thisisinfamous, Universal is preparing to acquire land to build a 3rd theme park based on video games.

Remember this isn't something that should be readily believed because of the poor source, but still interesting nonetheless.

I'm in Pete's club.

Whatever works for you. Doesn't change the fact that the vast, vast majority of guests use their mobile device vs a piece of paper for keeping track of their FP's. That's all that I was pointing out.

Again, I'm not knocking the method. I was one of the early vocals against FP+, with one of the main reasons being that I didn't want to be tied to my cell phone throughout my entire vacation.

It will have that simulator type soarin feel but will do more than what soarin does as you aren't in a glider you're on a banshee.

I'm purely guessing here...We will get seated into an individual seat with shoulder and lap restraints. Then they'll raise us like in Soarin' but we'll tip forward so we're facing downwards to some degree. Sort of like Superman at Great Adventure. Then we'll have a big screen showing us Pandora and a bit of the Banshee. I imagine the seats would move around a lot more than Soarin' as well. That's the only thing I can think of when I keep hearing "Like Soarin' but thrilling" and Banshee.

According to themeparkinsider Disney has selected a contractor for Star Wars land at DHS and announcement is expected soon likely at D23.

I found the article. Interesting news if true. (I have a hard time believing that they would go with a single contractor for the ENTIRE project, but OK.) I get the feeling I will be trying hard to watch the live-stream of the D23 parks presentation.

My club would be fun - because it would essentially be the Adventurer's Club. I would definitely let you join, since I'm guessing you'd bring beer.

When will the D23 event take place?

Likely that is what it will be in some way shape or form.

Well it seems it's just the Star Wars contractor so I'm guessing someone else will do Pixar. Who knows as long as it gets done in a reasonable amount of time.

I have no idea how many use what methods, apparently the info is out there I guess. But we indeed use our phone/s but only the "snap shot" or "pic" of the FP+ schedule. 99% of the phone use is pics/video/snaps/espn scores/news/facebook/weather/email/work/instagram/communicating with the group/health-calories burned, miles walked etc, which would be with or without MM+.

However if indeed it is a huge number using phone/s for MM+ then it simply shows how successful the idea was when put in practice, and how the technology/moto example is indeed correct. We just have scheduled what we want ahead of time I guess.

As if people have any other option aside from MM+ (which from an end-user perspective, is a mobile-based app)???

What it actually shows is that people are adapting, as they have no other choice.
