The largest Disney store in the world is going to open May 18th in Shanghai. Iger and Staggs will be there for the event and then go for a walk through of SDL.

So there will possibly be photos of them in the Shanghai park? What will the infamous spirit think.

Spirit has a rumor that avatar will have a third attraction but can't confirm it:

Really am hoping that this is true. And I am more hopeful than not considering the source. I can't see it being a ride though. I would think the term attraction was used on purpose. Still, the more the better.

This is quite possibly a bigger deal for my kids than the Harry Potter stuff. I know that this will already impact future trips to Orlando as time will now be split more between UNI and WDW. My kids (and my wife and I) were so excited when we heard this.

Is there a reason they would make everything close earlier, I feel like Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk are the only two places left with some semblance of night life at this point, so wouldn't they want the stores to be open late?

It may actually be the largest Disney retailer on the planet Disney Parks and Resorts and Disney Consumer Products. According to the Wikipedia page (sketchy, I know) World of Disney is 51,000 Square feet. This new destination is going to be 53,000 Square feet. Now the above number doesn't include the expansion that @rteetz just mentioned, so WDW may pull ahead.

I believe it's supposed to be bigger than the WoD.

Yeah I'm not sure. I believe after the WoD expansion they are supposed to add three new rooms. It's possible that it could total out to be 60,000+ but who knows.

Well I'm sure the store on west side don't do that great compared to marketplace side. The boardwalk stores don't stay open as late as some of the restaurants so who knows.

A portion of the D23 expo schedule was released. The interesting bit of info is Saturday August 15th Chapek goes over things coming to the parks in a new hall that seats 7,500 the previous largest venue held 4,000. This means they are expecting a big crowd or at least preparing for it.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if disney tried to continue the avengers series somehow. Also JJ was in the running depending on how this one turns out.
