That's more depressing in 2-D than it is in 3.

The only consolation for me is no huge construction walls. Yet. All the walls at MK and AK depress me. I know they're for good reason, but boy is it sad coming across the bridge in AK, seeing the tree, surrounded by...walls...

But yeah, why not a little meet and greet there or something? Or a PhotoPass magic shot?

Here is a breakdown of how the money WDC is giving Euro Disney will be spent including updates to pretty much everything at the disneyland park by 2017, walt Disney studios will get updates by 2022, with the possibility of their own Avatarland and the whole resort will see next gen integrated as one of the strings attached to the money they are receiving.

Wow ... seems like a really ambitious plan ... even if half of the runours come true by 2017, that would be quite the undertaking.

That sounds like a VERY ambitious plan. But hey, if they really are spending €1 billion to renovate their parks, perhaps that list of projects is not that crazy after all. I'm glad they are not giving up on DLP... It would be a shame to let such a beautiful park rot.

I wonder if the recently announced Paramount theme park (I still don't understand whether they are building it in Spain, in Britain, or in both places) will have a severe effect on Disneyland Paris.

Paramount are building in Kent, about 1 hour from London, UK and the park is due to open 2020. They want to be a threat to Disneyland Paris but I'm not sure if the location is too hard for many UK residents to get to as it is so far south east. It will certainly give the Merlin owned UK marks some much needed competition.

Well disney didn't give them money for nothing and I'm sure if they get this stuff by 2017 that park won't have much affect on them especially if after 2017 they have big projects going on at Walt Disney studios.

So a store that until fairly recently sold a slightly different variety of merch is closing for a "new" concept?

Sigh

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing.

Call me skeptical. :rolleyes2

If merchandise isn't moving, where are the survey takers outside the shops. This isn't exactly complicated to figure out.

Disney doesn't like unique merchandise they'll shove some WDW branded stuff in there to be like everything else.

Another thought is what if they put one of the marketplace co-op shops in there. The whole point of the co-op is testing out ideas that could go bigger. Or being in adventure land could we see this being changed into a store on one of the rides like the new HM store because everyday that store has a line out the door.

And the kitchen stuff at the co-op is a hot ticket.
With many items in there being adventureland/Orange Bird/Tiki themed, it could work.
