So another fan site - not the Walt Disney Company - put forth the article regarding the construction zone. Does it state specifically that a third track is coming in?

Two very reliable sources on WDWMagic have confirmed that a third track for TSMM is what is being build in Sound Stage 1.

When everyone has a fast pass, then no one does. (anyone?)

Not the same.

Make the return window the appropriate size and they can manage the same flow of people without those same people standing in line. When lines are long this will be a blessing. I would much rather have a FP+ for a certain time than standing in a 1 hour or longer line. It basically ends up being a reservation system.

I love this idea and hope it spreads. No more long lines. I hate standing in long lines. Won't do it any more for anything over 30 minutes. Won't usually do it for anything over 15.

FP+ baby! :)

We'll put you down as the first person here on the DIS actually in favor of this.

I would say it all depends on them upping the pre-booking limit from the current 3 (and eliminated the tiers). Doesn't seem feasible though.

I've seen those postings as well and although I believe them and what they say is coming, I still must dampen my enthusiasm until I hear not just an announcement from Disney, but work actually starting. Like lockedoutlogic always says, wait till you see the shovels moving! I am simply much more confident that it will happen now when a few weeks or months ago it was still more of a wish. Here is to hoping what is claimed to be coming truly does.

This is where I come for my Disney daily dose. Very reliable so far for my needs.

Any rumors to Anna/Elsa @ Akershus during the Holidays? Premium event @ MK during MVMCP?

Oh boy...

What do you hope spreads?

More midway mania? More soarin?

Yay...I just can't really figure out how it's really gonna effect anyone's life in a meaningful way.

But - I'll give them credit in that this is inline with their goals for the magic bands...
Shorter lines = more giftshop time

Permit has been filed for Soundstage one, big contractor and 2 year expiration, so something significant is coming.

Agreed stuff is happening and stuff is coming but nothing "official". I may be in the minority here but I do hope part of SS1 will be a third track for TSMM, with the hope that more and bigger things are coming too!

And if this thought process spreads across every attraction in a park? If ride capacity hits it's daily maximum 10, 20 or even 30 days out what will be left for guests to do? I seriously doubt that guests will pay park admission only to be told they can't ride anything, but they're more than welcome to waive their magic bands and spend to their heart's content.

Why is this so difficult?! The same number of people can ride the ride. In stead of standing in line for 2 hours you are given a time to come back in 1.5 hours. How terrible. It would be so much better to stand in line!

There will be a huge availability of FP when there is no other way to ride and there will be lots available same day. I wouldn't doubt that they will even save some to be released throughout the day.

Walk through the park, pull up your phone and get a FP instead of getting in line. Then come back in an hour or two when it is time.

Stand in line for 2 hours or get a FP instead. Hmmm tough choice. Again, I don't get how this is bad! Once they work out the logistics to manage lines and expectations properly, this will spread to all major rides that have long lines.

90% of us will be happy just like a huge percentage are happy with FP+.

I think you're missing the point based on the last time this was attempted. And no, it's not the same number of people.

Once the maximum number of passes were issued the remaining folks were told they couldn't ride the attraction. That didn't go over so well.

Right now a fastpass isn't needed - you can show up at a park and ride without any advanced planning, and there's no set limit on the number of guests (except when Disney considers a park 'full'). If everyone is required to follow the fastpass concept for all attractions then Disney is faced with either turning folks back who didn't plan, or perhaps even turning people away completely at the park entrance once ride capacity for the day has been reached. Again what would happen of all of the attractions follow this concept and the maximum number of potential riders is reached several days out, or even two months out during a peak time of year?

Based on OUR touring style, this is a good idea for US. Everyone does it differently, so what works for us, doesn't work for everyone.

maybe but they happen to get a lot of stuff right...and these guys are not pixie dusters...
correct they are nowhere near pixie dusters they are harsh on today's disney like many of us are. They want them to do good things but know it ain't happening. I don't know about you but I haven't seen anyone on here get disney springs, avatar, MM+, maelstrom closure, rivers of light, and so much more right. These WDWmagic people may not work for disney or in the theme park business but they get their info from somewhere and that somewhere is very accurate.

I heard a report that the maelstrom wall maps, three headed troll, ride sign, and polar bears were sent to the disney archives.

correct...they also got the exact date for closure of FOTLK months before it was announced or when George K was going to Disney World...they re pretty much money

Just going back to DLP.
as i live in the UK we have been a few times .
The problems for me are in the cast members with no smiley faces and couldn't care less attitude.
Also we went at Christmas 5 years ago and although the park was lovely and the parade fantastic it was so cold.
In florida we queue many times in the heat but often in air condition so makes queuing ok but in DLP we were so cold it really was un bearable. They should put the queues inside .
That was the last time we went .We would love to cross the channel for a Disney fix but we are always disappointed.
Too late now but they should have put it in Spain.!!!
