A bit of abummer on this one - wish they'd waited a month (we're going in 2 1/2 weeks). I stocked up on these last time I went. At $1 each they were a great deal and a "souvenir" that gets a ton of use. They've been cheaper than the generic ones at most grocery stores. Now I'll only get a couple more. My plan at $1 was to pick up about 15 more of them. They're good but all of those kind of bags do wear out. I've had a couple start to rip by the handle (probably overfill them in the grocery store too).
I am pretty sure when they first started selling them in parks, a couple years ago, that was actually the pricing on them. Then they dropped to $1. From reading the article, right before park closing they were a little bit more, but I'm pretty sure that $2/$2.50/$3 was the price when they first came available (not 100% though).
