It's because I have O- and DH has A+ blood. Supposed to keep my body from fighting with Lucas' in case he got his daddy's + blood.
I guess it's not usually an issue with the first baby (unless he for some reason starts bleeding, my body would attack his + blood
) but for the second baby, keeping my body from building up antibodies in case there is a baby #2 and they get their dad's + too.
But at least you can get some laughs out of your MIL/BIL/SIL drama 
I was pep-talking myself through it. "Only 4 ounces to go, you can do it!" then I'd take a chug.
. I'm just so relieved I don't have to deal with the diet and everything.
