What about things like bouncers and walkers? Do you really need socks?
Yep.. just like that! My kids both slept in those things for at least a few months.
My kids hated bouncy seats. But they are HANDY if you take a shower and want the baby near you, or something like that. Thats what I used mine for... Whenever I needed to get stuff done, and needed to park baby nearby.
Never had a walker. I have one of these, and my dd loved it so much, I thought she was going to bounce herself right out!

Unless you keep your baby in sleepers all the time, you will want socks. but buy extras, because babies pull them off constantly. and they get lost. But you are in a warmer area, so might not be as necessary.

Im sorry! I have a lot of pressure in my pelvic area... but nothing out of the ordinary. I totally understand about feeling useless... I have been pretty useless since the beginning of my pregnancy, and it just blows.
