Unfortunately for me (or should I say DH), the only time I really wanted to was when we were on restriction and weren't allowed. Figures.

When I was going to my OB/GYN for my first prenatal/annual check-up recently, the only clean socks I could find were Mickey socks and I was cranky and nauseous and thought that was "inappropriate" for a 36 year-old to wear those to the Dr. and tore the laundry room apart looking for a pair of plain white socks. (I blame the hormones, I wouldn't have the socks if I didn't love to wear them.)

ok...went to target (dh is not happy) BIG sales. ran into my ob and she laughed at me...said she checked the list this am and I am next....
totally caved in and bought that fur real horse...i have been saying NO for 2 years and they are still asking for it...'twas on clearance at 75% off so it was $49 ... ugh...i am too easy...where are we going to put a 3 ft tall horse AND a baby swing...exersaucer....etc.
i have been feeling guilt about DD2 being so in the middle. she get no new "big" things b/c she gets what we have from DD1, which is all very nice but she is a different kid, ya know? anyway . she loves loves lvoes horses and turns 4 in a week or so..guess she will be getting the surprise of her life .. might make up for so much attention on the baby???
in other news...i am still pregnant

Good morning girls. I am glad I am not the only one with a crazy in-law. I my case it is my FIL. He is the only person on this planet who could take this most wonderful time in our lives and make us miserable. It's not like we havn't been trying for YEARS! Every time the phone rings I have to check the caller id before I pick up to make sure it's not him. My blood pressure goes up just thinking about it. I really real bad for my husband. He keeps saying he is sorry for everything. I keep telling him it is not his fault.

Okay, enough of my pitty party! On to happier news. Only 7 more days until we find out if we are having a boy or girl. OMG, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I'm Melissa and I am pregnant with baby#1. I am about 8 weeks and hope the next 4 weeks pass by super fast so we can be "in the safe zone".

It's DH's birthday today. I doubt he'll be getting lucky. Those raging horomones must not travel this far north.

ETA.
I called the surgeon's office today and said I needed to reschedule for the appointment missed yesterday.
The lady gives me a TON of attitude and said the number they have on file for me isn't a working number and I should make sure my information is accurate at every appointment. I asked what number they had. (How am I supposed to update information when I never even gave them any?) Anyway, they had my office's fax number. So apparently my OB screwed up and is to blame, lol.

So the lady says "I can't get you in until February 11th."
I said "I don't know that I can wait that long."
She says "Well, thats his next opening. That is it. Why couldn't you wait that long?" (Tons of attitude.)
"Because I'm pregnant and they said I'm walking a fine line involving timing."
"Oh.. Hang on."

The surgeon's direct nurse gets on the phone and offered me an appointment tomorrow (which I can't make, because I took off work YESTERDAY to go to one) but got me in next Wednesday.

Amazing how appointments medically free up when you're pregnant... lol

That is just irritating! Why do people have to have such horrible attitudes? Hey, nobody said you had to get a job working with the public, right?

Sorry, I'm feeling very irritable today. Had some "show" earlier today, but realized it was just from all that "fun" last night. DH finally called and will be home soon, so after I make dinner (and eat, of course), I am going up to bed for the night.

My children have been horrible today...why is there nothing in the Smilies that resembles the devil?

I've been feeling fine so far... knock on wood. Next doctors appointment is next Wednesday and hoping to hear the heartbeat. We saw it on ultrasound last week but I won't feel good about things until we hear it.​
