Congratulations!!!


Had my appointment today. 3 cm dilated, 75% effaced.

Scheduled induction for Feb. 5th if no labor before then. They don't want me going past 41 weeks...that will be 41+1 day.

Woohoo! You'll have a baby soon!


... I go to meet the surgeon at 11am tomorrow. Wonder what will happen...

the glucose drink thing ... they offered me a choice of the orange one, and one that looks and tastes like Sprite. I chose that and it was A LOT better.

Thanks everyone!!! My mom and I went to Walmart so I get get some walking in! She's staying the night tonight because of all of the snow. She doesn't like driving in it and she's our babysitter! Hopefully I can make it worth her while and go in to labor tonight or tomorrow!

DH is bumming now. We just got a wedding invitation from a Marine Corps. buddy (actually, he came to our wedding reception so I know him, too!) and it's for June 14th!
Just has to be that close to baby being due/born. Bummer. He said he won't go without me because it wouldn't be fair (Vegas- where we got married!) but it's too risky of a timetable to even think of going.

I'm staying home from work--level 2 snow emergency here, with ice all over the place! Not to mention one of our second-floor windows is leaking. I'm sure we can fix it, but we just re-did this room to be our office. At least it isn't the nursery.

DH just took DD1 to school ... I might try to sneak out to the grocery store ... I am wondering if the 3 yo will tattle on me and if DH would notice that the cupboards are restocked ... he totally busted me yesterday when I went to the library

However, the benefits of a small town...the librarians wont even let me carry my own books to the car I must look fragile or something more like a linebacker if you ask me!! I sure am gonna miss being spoiled like this later!!!!

UGH!

Due to a "Severe Weather Situation" I was greeted by a SIGN at the surgeon's office telling me they were closed.

They did NOT call.

So I took PTO to leave work after 2.5 hours to drive 1/2 hour there to be greeted by that. And I'll have to take more PTO to make the next appointment. I'm pretty angry.

Worked out OK though.. it's MESSY as crap out there and at least I'm home and not stuck at work sitting it out 30 minutes from home.

I laughed out loud when I read that! Unfortunately my mom stayed the night, so that wasn't a possibility! Plus, they swept my membranes...so, it was not happening anyway!!!

Hi everyone. Sorry for the late update. I'm finally starting to feel normalish today. I haven't been to work all week, which makes saving sick time a little rough. I officially have a sinus infection and bronchitis. Fun times. I've been taking two showers everyday, cuz it gives me a little relief. I even spent an hour sitting in my empty bathtub after a shower just soaking in the steam. It's been rough. Luckily I haven't had any m/s until last night and it was just a little. But I have no appettite, so where's the fun in that?

I made my ultrasound appointment yesterday. So in 8 weeks we'll know the sex.

Last Friday, my father and grandmother (his mil) had a dr's appt. He was supposed to have some bloodwork done, so hadn't eaten anything (my parents love breakfast). They got there, and the dr. was gone to meetings all day! No one had called, and he was stuck taking my grandmother on errands for the morning. That afternoon, he called to see if the new stove they had ordered had come in. He was told yes, so he took out the old stove, cleaned up the floor, and drove an hour to the store. He got there and the stove wasn't in! I bet his blood pressure was sky high that night! He had to go home and put the old stove back in!

How is everyone today?? We have miserable weather, so I stayed in with DS.

I went on Babies R Us website and opened a small registry since this is our second. We don't need much but it was fun putting a pink blanket on there for our new little girl.

Okay.. Now.. I dont want to come off as ungrateful. BUT.. We had a visit from my hideous MIL today. She called dh to tell him she had a bunch of baby clothes she wanted to bring over. Okay.. sure. My house is clean, why not!

I have NO PROBLEM getting used stuff. NONE. We have a lot of stuff that is used, and it is really nice! But she brings in this bag of gross, stinky, stained up nasty sleepers. WTH??? They smelled SO BAD.. I dont have any idea where she got them. UGH. Then she goes into this freak out about not using formula because they have Chinese milk in it, and will poison the babies. Are you kidding me? Yes. Same woman who was freaking out during Halloween about us feeding the kids tainted Chinese snickers bars. Oy.

She was like... I would have bought you some diapers, but those are just to expensive! I dont know who can afford to buy them! And those big cases they sell.. Why would anyone buy them? HELLO!!! IDIOT!! Having twins here!!! I will buy them. I have ALWAYS bought the cases! Oh.. and then she proceeded to tell me that Pampers has these new newborn diapers. She didnt know they made them so small. What do you think little babies wear??? Sorry... I dont like her, and I dont have any patience at ALL right now. My husband noticed my eye twitching, and rushed them out the door.

.... I took a personal day Feb. 18th to go to Toys R US and do my registry with my friend. So excited!
