Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

I had to look to see where you lived... cause the best chinese food place is next to a kmart over here!!! :rotfl: (sadly its not the same!)

Just goes to show you that when all else fails in trying to find a Chinese restaurant... find a KMart and go from there!! :lmao:

On of my friends had the same problem, but she was able to go onto a generic brand (I want to say walmart) that you take 2 a day. That way it is only 1/2 the dose at a time and her stomach was able to handle these.

You could always just cut the pill in half and take half in the morning and half at night. If you are going to switch to generic, I'd consult your doc first. Mine recommends nothing but Materna for some reason.

Good Morning Moms and moms to be...

Here is a question for all...

When will you take your baby's first trip to WDW/ DL???

I took my first DS in May and he was 15mo. I think I am going to wait until #2 is a little bit older then that...

What about everyone else?!?!?

DS went the first time at 5 months. He is 2 now and has already been 5 times. We have a trip planned for Sept 2009, the baby will be 2 1/2months. I told DH I really don't want to go with a baby that small in the September heat. I can't envision a 3 yr old and a 2 1/2month old uggggggghh...it makes me tired just thinking about it.

DS#2 turned 5 months while we were there Sept. 07. DS#1 was 19 months at the time and the baby was definitely easier. The only problem I would have taking a baby to WDW earlier than that would be if I was physically ready yet. The first couple of months I would have been too tired to go. Other than that, the younger they are, the easier they are (when it comes to infants).

DS#1 has been 4 times (DS#2 also, but 1st time was in my belly). DS#3 has been twice in my belly already!:goodvibes

DS#1 learned the concept of "UP and DOWN" at WDW on the carousel! If you think of the educational value, it gives you yet another reason to go!;)

I'm a DL Annual Passholder, so probably pretty early. Although not super early since I'm due in July. I don't want it to be too hot. Definitely Christmas that year, and maybe Halloween.

A trip to WDW will probably wait for awhile. If I'm going to SAH money is giong to be tight.

We have no plans for WDW ANY time soon.. But we will probably take our first family trip to Disneyland when the babies are about a year old or so. My dd was 18 months when we took our first family trip, and she had fun.

We took DS for the first time for his 1st birthday and he loved it - he loved it SO much he ended up getting sick from all the cakes that every restaurant gave him when they found out it was his first birthday!!! Diarrhea EVERYWHERE!!!!! :rotfl:

We took DD for the first time when she was almost 5 months. It was actually really easy taking a baby that small - we just kept her in the Baby Bjorn so that she could take everything in and she loved it.

This baby is going to be born in February and we have a trip planned for September so he will be 7 months AND we're driving......

Our baby will be around 8 months during his/her first trip. DH only gets January off work, so I plan my vacation then too. Because my parents winter in FL, it is really the cheapest place for us to go for the month.

They'll be about 3, depending.
We plan to do the 2012 DCL Inaugural and will combine it with WDW at the same time. Since I'm due 06-09, depending on when the inaugural takes place the baby will 2.5-3-3.5 years old.

My brother lives in Clermont, though, so I don't know if we'll sneak a trip sooner or not.

I guess I am in the minority. I don't plan to go back until my kids are at least 5-6 years old. Since I am pregnant with the first and plan to have 2 (hopefully) I don't foresee myself getting there for quite some time. I keep telling people that go to disney now to tell Mickey I say HI and won't be back for a LONG time!

Hi! Can I join in? I'm 11 weeks pregnant today with our second baby...due on June 3rd!

I'm really excited - we found out on our Disney trip that we were expecting. We are thinking of naming him Eli (if it's a boy) in honor of Walter Elias Disney. (It's either that or "Port Orleans"...;) )

I've had 2 ultrasounds so far and seen the heartbeat twice, yay! Anyway, I'm excited to get to know all of you!

We are taking Ava to Disney to celebrate her 1st birthday. I wish like crazy we could go before then, but it's just not possible. She'll actually be about 13 months old at the time!

Thanks! The first U/S was kinda scary - I had some bright red spotting and they wanted to check to see what was going on.

The second U/S was a surprise - I went for my 10 week appointment and my doctor said, "I don't like to make people wait to hear the h/b, so if we can't find it by doppler, we'll do an ultrasound!" She couldn't find it so she brought in the portable ultrasound machine and found the h/b right away.

Anyway, just 3 more days for you! Friday will be here before you know it!!! It's such a great sound. :)

Hi! Can I join?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant with our second baby. I'm due on June 13.

I've been to the doctor once already, but no ultrasound for me yet. My doctor doesn't do one until the 2nd trimester, so I'll have to wait patiently until then.

I do go back next week to hopefully hear the baby's heartbeat though. I can't wait...it gives me a reason to fight through the morning sickness :)
