Mondays are the day I switch to a new week.
I should be 18 weeks today.. don't know why it lost a day?!

Mine has always been a day off, so I thought it was just fixing itself. Wonder what happened? At least mine is right on now!

Hi there all!

Jumping in to join the group if you dont mind another new one! I'm Michelle, mother to 11 month old Maverick and am expecting baby boy#2 on July 4! I am still suffering the sickness and fatigue, but am hoping it goes away soon. I would love to join in...and share the journey!

ooo! Good one.

Hmmm...I have no tolerence for pain, so just about the whole thing scares me.
I guess my biggest fear would be complications where either I or the baby were in serious danger.

Secondly, I worry about the spinal headache from the epidural that I also worry I might somehow miss the window for.

Is that enough?

After pain and all of the technical stuff, my biggest fear WAS pooping during labor.

Well........been there done that. Not so worried anymore.

I'll bite.

I almost died a few days after dd9 was born-had seizures and spent several days in ICU, unconsious, with my family not knowing if I'd wake up. I had a newborn and a 2 yr old at home with my mil. That is one reason it took me 9 yrs to try this again. I think a bad epidural caused my problems, but the drs were so scared of lawsuits they wouldn't even talk to me (I have a new dr this time!). I'm worried about a repeat of the problems, and my family is scared to death about it. I'm trying not to think about it too much-and my new dr. is watching me closely for signs of problems. So far so good.

I gave DH a expectant dads book and that was the first thing he "informed" me about. I said, "Dear, please remember that I've read 10 pregnancy books...chances are whatever you learn, I already know."

Since then he's told me that I can't sleep on my back when I'm bigger and that my emotions would be crazy. THAT one got me to laugh hysterically!

I think I'm going to go to baby-gaga and get a code for a new ticker, to put it back on track. If it screws up again I can always reverse it.

Maybe after this ultrasound I can change it a little anyway-- don't they use ultrasounds to determine due date a little bit? Right now, my due date is based off of my LMP.

I remember reading this before. Are you planning to go natural this time? Or at least no epidural? It makes me about my whole, epidural-all-the-way philosophy...

Yes. They'll measure the little bugger and give you an accurate (as it can be) due date. Of course I read that less than 5%? of women actually give birth on their due date, which is kind of funny to me.

A close friend of mine got a spinal headache (a really, really bad one) her mom sent me texts since she wasn't supposed to really move and they were short and criptic (as you'd expect from someone new to texting!) but they'd say things like "Getting blood transfusion" or "I can't hold him!"
She was on an Army base, refused to let anyone go see her but her mom and through the whole thing, her husband was deployed in Iraq. This was February... and her husband got home in November and she has recovered and they are one of the most adorable families!

..but it still scares me!

My books all say that its EXTREMELY rare, but I find it strange that everyone seems to know someone that has gotten one. Ya know?
