Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

Oh, Lisa, you make me laugh!
I have been wondering the same thing!
I think we are NUTS volunteering to be outnumbered by three little girls!!
I used to think I wanted 6! and at least 4!
Now I know, three is IT.

Well, I'm celebrating this week because it seems like the morning sickness has finally ended. Hoorah for week 17! It came sometime in my second month and has been horrible - vomitting one to three times every day. I haven't vomitted in three days, although I have felt a tiny bit queasy.

It's throwing me off, because other than being EXHAUSTED I don't feel pregnant. Everyone thinks I should be getting sick left and right. :confused3
I was pretty sure everyone was kidding until I heard the heartbeat. :rotfl:

So, what are your other kids names? I assume Jasmine is the name of your baby girl twin? :)

Oh wow...17? Man I'm in for the long haul...:goodvibes I'm feeling pretty good today. I had horrible acid reflux last night though...it's way too early for that sruff. :(

I did finally manage to get Drs appointment though! December 3. So far away!

Everybody kept asking me if I was sick! :rotfl: A couple ladies I work with who don't have kids think pregnant ladies must be throwing up the whole 9 months. My biggest early symptom was being tired all the time, for me that was worse than being nauseated occasionally. When I went in for my first prenatal visit, I waited in the office looking for a place to take a nap. :lmao:

Honestly, it was hard for me to believe I was pregnant until I saw the first ultrasound at 11 weeks. The two pregnancy tests I took told me I was pregnant, but two lines aren't very concrete, are they?

my morning sickness levels have been different with all my pregnancies. I have had 5, 2 being miscarriages. With my DD I was barely sick at all. Just a teeny bit of nausea. That was my 3rd pregnancy.. With my first 2, I was sick as a dog... and the last 2 sick as a dog. This one being the WORST, most likely because its twins.

I went to the Dr. today.. Im measuring 30 weeks already. :lmao: :lmao: She said I need to start really taking it easy, lay down every chance I get.. Sleep when I can.. and monitor my contractions. Thankfully, Im only having one or two a day.. sometimes 3 or 4. But never more then that. Oh... and my girl has gone head up again. She just cant seem to make up her mind! Just like a girl, huh? :lmao:

My sons name is Alexander, and my daughter is Mikalah. So far we have Jasmine for the girl, and NO CLUE for a boy. My husband wants to name him.. I have named all the other kids, so he wants a shot at it too. :lmao: I reserve the right to veto. ;)

That's so funny. I knew I was pregnant before I took the test. It's so cool how everything can be so different for each person.

So did I. I never even took a pregnancy test with this pregnancy.

Cool, maybe I'm having twins! lol (I told you guys, every little thing is gonna be --hey maybe I'm having twins, til I know for sure.)

Will my doctor be able to tell on December 3? I'll be 8 weeks. I thought I read that thats when they can tell.

Anyone have any acid reflux/heartburn remedies?

:lmao: Maybe! She will be able to tell. Thats when I found out for sure. Two little sacs, with to little spuds that had heartbeats. :lovestruc

I just got a prescription for zantac. I have been having killer heartburn and acid reflux. I feel like its about to shoot out of my mouth.

:teeth: I hope its twins cuz I really don't want to do this again. I'm such a wussy little baby! And that's giving babies a bad rap! :thumbsup2

I saw that Zantac is on the A ok list, but seriously? Okay to take every day?

Me too! Amazing how you REALLY DO just know!:lmao:

Tell you what, any time it gets really hard, just trade me for my 3 boys!

Congrats! That is definitely something to celebrate!:goodvibes

Yeah.. my manager is kinda.. uh.. one of those people that rhyme with "witch" when things don't go well for her. My getting pregnant doesn't go well with her overall plan so... when the DM was in town from Columbus and was standing at my window talking to me she came over and handed me some peppermints and looked at the DM, rolled her eyes and said "We're dealing with more than a little morning sickness here."

...I haven't gotten sick ONCE! I was so embarassed that is how he found out. Not to mention so mad at her for using me like that- she sold it like "This is why we're not meeting production standards, she's vomiting constantly!" :sad2:

Yeah, my ultrasound won't be until January. :sad1: I was kinda hoping to have one for Christmas but oh well. I shall survive. Eventually it will be real enough that I am pregnant!

The test I took was a joke.. really. I was on birth control for months and missed two periods in a row so stopped taking it and saw my doctor. She switched types, just figuring it was my body reacting oddly to the pills and I forgot to start the new pill pack thing but forgot that I forgot (that takes skill!) and so being goofy, as I'd done it so many times before in that two months I missed my periods, I took a home pregnancy test. I about fainted when it came out positive! :rotfl:

You make me feel so lucky to be in a super supportive work environment!

What a "w"itch!!

She's a great person, but WATCH OUT if you get in her way with anything.
She actually hired me into an entry level position when I was 18 at a different location, when she was an assistant manager. I got "laid off" when I was 20 (I was being forced to transfer and I didn't want to so I left the company)

She just got promoted this year and got her own location where she is top dog, not an assistant anymore. She called me when a position opened up and I came back to work for her. I started again September 15th... by my calculations I got pregnant sometime that week. :rolleyes1

She is truly a great and awesome person, you just have to be prepared to take her crap when she decides to dish it. :headache: And boy can she dish it! OMG!
I think I'm a lot more sensitive to it now but can understand her frustration. She hired me because I was trained, she knew me and I could start day 1 and do the job. Now I'm going to take maternity leave over the entire summer and she is right back in the same boat. I think she is trying to figure out what to do because it costs about $5-6k to train someone to do my job but she feels horrible that the other two girls at my office won't get a vacation in the SUMMER. I'm getting her frustration taken out on me... and part of me thinks I deserve it, I feel so bad for those other girls!

That makes sense. Too bad she's letting it get to her so much that she's acting this way. I hope it gets better for you.

So I've been charting and my temps dropped significantly today...hopefully it was just a fluke. I'm really nauseaus this morning...
