BabyTigger99 - Hope that Elliott is feeling better! How scary that must have been!

DH, Carys and I are all sick. Our house should be quarantined! I got a cold last weekend that turned nasty quick. Then Carys started getting it the next day, but got a really yucky sounding cough so I took her to the doctor and she has her first ear infection, so she is on an antibiotic for that. Between the cough and the pain in her ear, it has led to many sleepless nights this week, for her and for me! Now DH has gotten the cold and he's a big baby when he gets sick. Plus he had the surgery on his eyes (PRK) last week and I've been taking care of him anyways, with his drops and getting him his medicine, since he can't see very well. Sigh, I might as well have a second child with all the practice that DH gives me

Annabelle took her 1st Steps last night. I posted a video on my facebook if you wanna see just let me know. We are trying one nap a day thing now, for about 2 weeks she has been sleeping less at the two naps, we will see tho because today is day one of that. Other than that just getting things ready for her 1st birthday and our week in Orlando. Hope everyone is doing great.

All is well here!!! DH and I just got back from 4 days at WDW. We had the best weather of any trip. Just perfect. Natalie had a great time with the grandparents. I don't know who had more fun really, them or her.

Wow! how exciting!!! I can't imagine Carys actually letting go of furniture or me. She is quite content still cruising and crawling. Hard to imagine her taking steps on her own. I'm sure it's amazing!

Had to take DH to urgent care yesterday morning. He was coughing really bad and wheezing (he has asthma anyways). Come to find out he has bronchitis. sigh. So he is home from work for the next 3 days. He's on a different inhaler and 2 antibiotics. So I have him to take care of now too. Carys is getting a little better, still taking the antibiotics for her ear and still coughing but sleeping a bit better through the night.

Can't wait to buy Tangled tomorrow though! yay!

Hope all is good with everyone. Things sure have been quiet around here. Things are good with us. Elliott likes to walk around nodding his head all the time, usually while opening and shutting his mouth. What can I say, he always leaves me laughing!

Waiting for it to get nice here. We got almost 18 inches of snow on March 23rd. Most of it is finally gone, and we are looking at decent weather this weekend, however, older DS and I will be 3 and a half hours away at a soccer tournament.

I'm so glad there is a group like this and I'm so glad to join! I've been a part of the TTC thread and one for Moms To Be but now that I'm a Mom I would love to be able to come here and talk to fellow mothers about their children and babies while we share joys, struggles, milestones and solutions to issues with one another. Having a community of Moms has helped me on many other forums so far with my little guy so I wanted to be able to come here and have the same. I love my fellow Disney lovers and everyone is so nice and friendly here (most of the time) so I wanted to try and make some more new friends.

First of all, let me introduce myself.

My name is Carla. I'm a 29 year old first time mom. I love everything that has to do with Disney and WDW. I also love to sew and quilt and craft. My new favorite hobby is cleaning. Go figure

After 5 years of struggling with infertility (my husband has sperm count issues...feel free to talk to me about infertility.....I'm very open about it) we were finally blessed with our little miracle with the help of IUI. We had a baby boy on December 17th, 2010. His name is Alexander Paul and he's the joy of my life. He will be 4 months old on the 17th.

We are planning on taking him to WDW in December for his first birthday and I cannot wait!! **shameless plug - my PTR is in my siggie**

We have skipped spring too. It keeps going back and forth between fall and summer and the trees in my neighborhood look like poop. It got cold again when they were blooming and now all the leaves that started coming out are brown and ugly. Good luck on your plane ride. How old is Natalie?

Hey All, This thread has been very quiet. I sorta feel like I don't belong as my "babies" are fast closing in on their 2nd birthday!

Anyway, we'll be at WDW for ODS' 8th birthday, and the twins will be just 2 weeks shy of their 2nd birthday. I am in serious planning (and re-planning!) mode. We were booked at BC, but when the GP discount came out last week, I switched to the Poly to get a discount & upgraded to DxDP. DH & ODS were kinda disappointed about the change -- but have come around. (We have stayed at the Poly before.)

Today I looked & saw that there were CL GV rooms available at BC with the discount (that weren't available when I switched.) So I am seriously thinking about changing again back to BC CL GV & going back down to the reg DP.... decisions, decisions. ODS had a minor meltdown when I changed plans on him before, think if DH agrees to a change (again!) I get ODS on board w/ the plan before I pull the trigger!

Time does seem to be flying by. My little man is now 6 months old. He's sitting up, has 4 teeth, and trying to army crawl. He's in size 12 month clothes, but some of them are starting to get on the smaller side. I pulled out his 18 month Pj's and they are also tight on his chubby little arms and legs. He weighs in at 20 lbs now. He's loving eating solids, and starting to eat a bit off our plates.

What do your little ones wear to sleep in the hot summer months? I'm thinking why bother with pj's just put a t-shirt and a diaper on. Otherwise I will probably have to go find some lighter summer pj's.

I'm still trying to decide on what stroller to get. at the moment I'm using a cheap umbrella, but it was a pain to use when we went to the zoo. Hard to push and wheels don't always go straight. I'd love to get a city mini for the Chicago and Disney trip. Just trying to make the best purchase since it's $250. I'm planning on checking out the Rhea lana resale event coming up. So give me names of great lightweight strollers and I'll keep my eye's open.

I'm almost to 180 days and have my restaurants picked out. I can't wait to take my little man for his first Disney trip. October can't get here soon enough.

Natalie is 21 months old. DannysMom, I know what you mean by our babies not being "babies" anymore. From the time she wakes up, until she goes to bed, she is talking. She even talks to the dog.

That's awesome that your lil guy is growing well Alex is almost 4 months old and will be in 6 - 9 month stuff soon. I'm trying to make the most out of his 3 - 6 month size though since I feel like I JUST moved him up to it.

I asked a few of my other mommy friends what they put their LO's to sleep in during the summer and the response I got was a onesie so I think I'll be doing that.

I don't know much about light weight strollers so no advice here. Sorry.

Awesome! So glad to hear that. I'm a tad nervous since I've never travled with a kid before let alone a baby. But I'm really excited too. How did your daughter do at the parks and naps and such? I'm gonna need all the tips I can get.

We are taking Annabelle for a day at MK for her birthday in a month! DH family lives in Orlando and we are mainly going so Annabelle can meet her great-grandparents. We are staying at Sheraton Vistana Villages. I'm so excited! Hope everyone is doing well!
