Are there any other airlines apart from Thomson planning on running this route next year as the prices i am coming out with are rediculous (sp) £659 pp July 2011 flight only.
I know Jet2.com have just started to fly to New York maybe they might put on flights to Florida (wishful thinking)
Anyway any help on prices etc would be most appreciated.
We are 2 Adults 3 Children--15,12 and 6

ps Good to be back and planning our next visit to the land of the Mouse.

the only way i no is travelling from manchester.
we wear going to book through thomson but the price was stupid and bag allowance is just 15kg per person .
not really worth it, its a good flight done it before.

Unfortunately that is not expensive for school hols(I assume school hols dates?) for direct flights. You are very limited from Newcastle, Thomsons were only airline showing availability when I just searched for next July on here http://www.charterflights.co.uk/sabs/search.php

This July/August most direct flights were £700-750+ A few people got direct London to Miami for £400ish but into MCO or Sanford no bargains.

Thanks for the info Wayneg. You would think that with Newcastle Airport being situated where it is that some large company eg-Virgin etc would start up the route and more as they could probably make a fortune. As Wayneg said we are very limited up here and have to travel to Manchester or Glasgow.

Have you thought about flying indirect with klm/martinair via Amsterdam into Orlando international. My family are using this route in December and have paid £430 return each on upgraded comfort class seats flying and returning on a Saturday.

Even if Virgin did start a route from Newcastle you would struggle to find reasonable fares in school hols, I used them a lot from Manchester, now have over 200,000 airmiles to use but over the past 2 years I just won't pay their prices. For next month on the day I booked in January Virgin wanted £1,300pp for economy seats. Its indirect for us for now.

Thats mad pricing. Its nearly cheaper to go on a package holiday now. I am only looking at flight only because i can get a Villa and seperate flight from Thomsons on the price quoted for £200 cheaper. Thats not much difference doing diy. Use my credit card to pay then i should be covered if anything happens...Am i right???

Package prices with Virgin are crazy for our dates, Next August for 21 nights at SSR/OKW in economy £6487.65.
This August DIY I am doing Delta Buisness class lay flat seats and 21 nights OKW £5,486
You need insurance & pay by credit card.
