Hi, we are travelling to WDW in May from Australia. Have booked for a little Mermaid room at AoA but now thinking of upgrading to a suite so we don't have to walk far to transport. Can anyone let me know which are the closest suites to transport in AoA? Also will it be difficult to upgrade as we have already paid a deposit with WDW?

it won't be a problem to upgrade to a suite. the closest ones are all the suites but you can tell them to put in a room request to be close to transportation. keep in mind though that the Nemo Suites are centrally located and the closest rooms will also be nearest their pool, which has loud music playing all the time. we just stayed in a little mermaid room last month and it was a very far walk seeing as it is the furthest section. we requested near transportation and first floor and got both. they put us in a room near the parking lot. we could follow the paths along the parking lot to get to the buses. it was not that bad but did seem very long at the end of the day! the extra minutes it takes to walk is not that bad though. you can also see epcot's fireworks in the distance beyond the little mermaid area. the lion king suites are in front of the little mermaid section so everyone walks through that area and the rooms are right there so it would be loud to stay along the path. request one off of that path if you want it quiet. the cars area is on the opposite side of the lion king and little mermaid section. we actually forgot to visit that area!!!! we saw it when we were checking out. i would suggest looking up a map of Art of Animation resort, just search google. we very much enjoyed our little mermaid room and dd2 was so excited to stay at 'ariel's house.'

keep in mind also, if you are sleeping in separate beds then one of you gets the bedroom and the other one gets the murphy bed or sleeper sofa.. not an actual two beds in a suite.
