Newbie with Some Questions

Hey everyone,

I am new to DISboards and am interested in applying for the Disney College Program for next semester. I was wondering when the application is due, because I cannot find the date on the website?
Also I was wondering if you want to work at Disney World, do you need a car to get to the apartments and back?

I'm not totally sure when the applications are due, but I believe it is the end of March sometime. There's probably someone here that knows for sure.

No, you don't need a car. There are busses that'll take you to/from work.

I don't think there is a set date when apps close. I think It's just when they've filled all of the jobs that they need to or reached a certain quota. If I had to make an educated guess I'd say 3rd or 4th week of march. But that's just my own guess...

And you don't need a car on the program, but it sure as heck makes life so much easier. There are buses that will take you everywhere you need to go including all work locations on property, walmart, publix, post office, etc...

good luck applying! the buses can be an issue, but if you're late on the buses behalf and not you missing/not seeing/ignoring it then USUALLY the bus company will let your location know that it was their mistake

I would apply soon if you are going to. April 19th is the last day they are accepting applications but you want to apply before then so that you have more opportunity to get in. Spots are being filled quickly.

Also, I'm going to be in the program and I don't have a car. Most of my friends who have done the program find the buses work well. They struggle sometimes but are a big help.

It can be a bit of hassle to be here without a car, but if you want to do a PI, you'll need a license/car by then. Otherwise, the busses work fine though. I am currently in the program and rely on the busses.
