Hi I'm New here and my partner and I are looing in to a disney wedding but as our baby is due in 13weeks it may be a while before we travel.

I have some questions about the MK bridal portrait session.

1) Can you have one if you marry off site or with swan and dolphin?
2) we will have a baby and no-one to babysit that early in the morning so could we take her with us?
3) How much does this currently cost?
4) Failing a MK shoot where else can you see the castle from and have your photos taken?
5)Is there someone at disney weddings you can e-mail questions too as we would book our wedding through a UK tour oprator.

Thanks Look forward to replies

You must be so excited!! Congrats on only being 13 weeks away! :goodvibes

I don't think you can do a MK photoshoot if you have an off site wedding. I think they still allow it if you do a DCL wedding and am not sure about the swan/dolphin - but I think you still can.

I think the current cost is $1000. I would assume that you could bring the baby - I don't see it why it would be a problem but disney has lots of weird rules - so I would ask them.

You can see the castle from all of the resorts around the MK. It would look a little distant in the background. There are a lot of brides who have gotten excellent pictures from the places like the beach at the Poly.

I would either call or email DFTW and let them have a coordinator email you back who could answer everything.

I also have another question I didnt' know if anyone could answer... Is it possible to rent characters to join you for a MK shoot?

I do NOt think you are allowed to do the MK shoot unless you do a wedding throuigh Disney, either Escape, Wishes or Coutoure. I am pretty sure they WONT let you do it with a S&D wedding. If you find out that you can, I would LOVE to know that would be awesome!!

ANyone know?

Thanks.

Yes I'm getting really excited now I just cant wait to meet her.

I don't know about the caracter thing but one thing I have noticed is money talks and that would be pretty expensive.

Sorry to be dumb but what does DCL stand for I bet it's something really obvious.

Sure you can do resort portrait sessions. Photographers do them all the time for engagement shots. I think you can also do them in Epcot through Disney, just maybe not in your wedding attire.

The only reason why I thought disney might let swan dolphin brides be a part is that I thought I read somewhere that Minnie and Mickey could attend your wedding for cake cuttings and whatnot there since its still on disney property.

Anyhoo it doesn't hurt to ask your consultant.

I know you can do a MK shoot for disney cruise weddings.

Hi! Congrats on the baby! :wave2:

I have some questions about the MK bridal portrait session.

1) Can you have one if you marry off site or with swan and dolphin?

Unfortunately, no.

2) we will have a baby and no-one to babysit that early in the morning so could we take her with us?

Only the bridal couple are allowed in the MK for the shoot. However, there is an in-room babysitting service who may be able to come out that early. It's called Kids Nite Out: http://www.kidsniteout.com/

They come highly recommended. :thumbsup2

3) How much does this currently cost?

$1,000 if you want an 4x6-inch folio or 12 images or $1250 if you want an 8x10-inch folio of 12 images. For $1,300 you can have pix taken in the Magic Kingdom plus one other park (4x6-inch prints).

4) Failing a MK shoot where else can you see the castle from and have your photos taken?

The easiest place is Sunset Point at the Polynesian. Here's what the castle looks like from there:

You can also see the Castle from the Marina at the Grand Floridian.

5)Is there someone at disney weddings you can e-mail questions too as we would book our wedding through a UK tour oprator.

If you book through a tour company, you can't really work directly with Disney on the wedding, which is why many UK brides on this board book the wedding portion of their holiday directly with Disney and just book the vacation through the tour operator. You could try asking Disney questions, but your tour operator has to be the liaison, and apparently for many people this results in lots of miscommunication and delays. :sad2:

congrats from another uk bride

we went over last sept to have our wedding and we organised it through disney weddings as we didnt want the escape wedding through the travel agents and having to deal with a third party

Disney were great and everything was done by email or they would call me if needed

http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/gate/index.jsp

thats thier website and there is a number on there to call, they will be able to hlep you with any questions.

Thanks.

I'm not so sure I would be able to leave the baby with a stranger but how I feel at the time maybe I could rope one of my relatives in to it if I ecided to go ahead.

I love those pics from sunset pointe at the poly but I might end up with too many guests to get marry there but it could be possible to arrange a photo shoot there on our wedding day at least that would save the hastle of getting ready again at stupid o-clock in the morning and having to disturb the baby.

The reaon I'm going with a UK tour op. is first chioce and thomson do the escape packag for £1729 as opposed to the $4500 disney quote for the difference in price I'm willing to deal with a third party.

One last question could you get acess to the beach at the poly?

do you get all the same things as direct with disney though? like the annual passes.

I know when I looked at booking with virgin it seemed a nightmare as you had to go to them to book something instead of dealing direct with disney
