Newbie who is LOST!

I'm sorry to start my own thread, but I am LOST. I have been scouring through all the posts trying to learn something about fun, unique designs and how to incorporate them into a t-shirt or sweatshirt but I am so confused. I am hoping you will all take pity on me and show me the light...please?

I would love to do a design for my family cruise/post cruise trip in May. We are taking the Dream cruise on May 1 and then staying at the Poly post cruise. I would LOVE to do a sweatshirt with either a Mickey pirate theme or a general cruise theme. None of us have ever cruised before so I wanted to have something to remember it by. Does anyone have any suggestions on a specific thread or designer I could reach out to?

At the top of the page there is a sticky which tells you who and what each DISigner does.
Take a minute --well actually get a cup of tea because it could take awhile to look through the threads--for share and photobuckets.
