Hi all,

This is my first post here. I'm usually on the other boards and was directed here for the dreaded weight discussions. I didn't even know this board existed. But, I'm glad it does.

I'm going back to ww. on tuesday, after my dd starts school. I gained a whopping 15+ lbs. and decided to get back on track. I've been a lifetime member(not that that means anything) and haven't been to ww for a loooong time, and I'm alittle embarrassed to go back, but, my clothes are yelling at me that I now have no choice but to start all over again. So, I'm off today to the stores, to buy a new jog suit and I'll wear that every week at ww, a new water bottle so I can choke down the dreaded liquid and a bunch of the ww. meals, so I don't have to weigh and measure anything. I also joined a weight group in my town, because all the exercise equipment I have gathered soooo must dust I can hardly see it anymore:)

So, I guess I'm just saying hi, and look foward to meeting all my new friends on this board.

Hi Dg, Welcome!

You're gonna love this place. Its a very active board and great supportive people.

I just joined WW at work for the first time. Our first meeting is 9/13. I have a lot more than 15 lbs to lose :o

Keep posting::yes::

Welcome to WISH, Dg39!

I think you will really like it here. We also have the WISH Journals board where you can read about other people's journeys and post your own as well if you would like. Many of us are finding it to be a great inspiration, not to mention how it keeps you accountable knowing everyone is going to read it.

Best of luck to you in accomplishing your goals! :Pinkbounc

Hi dg39 -- we have similar backgrounds. I've been a WW lifer for a long time. But haven't been a freebie for quite some time. I just went back to WW a week ago. My first week back on program, I lost 7.6 pounds! It feels so good to be back on it. My kids are back in school and for me that makes things easier. Not as many temptations. I have a little less than 10 weeks until our big Disney Vacation -- so am using that as serious motivation not to fall off the wagon. I'd like to be to goal by vacation.

Don't be embarassed to go back. You aren't the first one to do that -- in fact I see that more than not. You won't regret taking that first step back.

Good luck to you!

Welcome DG39! You are in good company here. We're here for the ups and the downs (hopefully weight will be the only downs!). I lost most of my weight originally with WW and then lost more. Since I met my husband in 1998, I've gained 20 lbs so I know how you feel. I just keep thinking that what I weigh now is what WW got me down to! But I just can't gain anymore so I'm working to lose it.

Here's hoping WW will get you back on track with all their motivation and new materials. Maybe you'll like the no counting system. Just be sure to check in and let us know how it's all working out!:wave2:

Thanks for all the well wishes. I went to WW yesterday(tuesday) and sure enough I was right. Gained a whopping 15lbs. I got over the fact of being embarrassed about being lifetime, no one made a big deal out of it. Anyway, I'm going to go back on the point system, as I'm more accostumed to that then CORE. I just can't seem to get the water in. I put lemon in it, I try salt free seltzer, I drink it cold, but, I still have a hard time drinking it all. I have a few of the WW meals in the freezer for myself(I'll cook seperately for the family), so yesterday I had 1 for lunch, an apple around 2pm, another ww meal along with a large salad for dinner and another apple after dinner. I also had 4 slices of light bread. Not all at once. 2 during lunch and 2 during dinner. Oh well, I guess this (diet)(new way of eating) has begun. Good luck to all of us.

Welcome DG:wave:

I am also a fellow WW using it online with the support of my DIS friends.

Is there any type of liquid you do like? Or Flavor? How about sugar free ice tea......the crystal lights are really yummy!! I actually mix half of the individual packets in a 20 or 24 oz water bottle and off I go.

If you hate measuring and counting how about trying the CORE program. That would free you up from counting points.

Keep exercising, focused and drink your water:sunny:

Have a Disney Day!!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

You can do it DG!!! And try a splash of lemon in your water...always makes mine much yummier! And it's a good source of Vitamin C to ward off any colds that may sabotage your workouts! :)

Just visualize yourself during the holidays...trim and leaner and healthier!! :)
you can do it....just keep checking in with us and join some challenges! :)
