Hi everyone!

I've been lurking on these forums for a while now, and thought I should join in on the fun. I'm planning a WDW vacation for myself, my husband, my 3 sisters (all adults), my niece who is 3 years old, and my parents...8 people in total! This is so much fun, since noone else in my family likes to take control of the planning, I get to do it all! (fun for me anyways). Here's what I have planned so far, opinions are always welcome!!

6 days/5 nights in Port Orleans French Quarter (2 Rooms)
3 days in Walt Disney World (2 days Magic Kingdom, 1 day ???)
1 day Universal Studios

on our arrival day and departure day I havent anything planned, just figured we could play at resort or go to DTD or something.

How does this sound so far? I have lots more questions but I'll post them in the forums where they belong.

Renee

I would by pass Universal for this trip.

there is only so many things for your 3 year old....

definitely the MK - how about either Studio (to make up for no US/ioa) or AK....

don't pay Disney prices for Universal....there are several hotels pretty close to US/IOA for under a $100....

plus once you park the car - you are still 1/2 miles from either park....(US/IOA)

Oh I also love Epcot!!! but again your 3 year old might get bored....

here is the website for US/IOA - so you see for yourself. now there are definitely some thing for her to do - but nothing like MK...

:welcome:

You are going to love it here...

Not sure how much the 3 year old will like @ Universal (I personally love it and so do my kids) but for this trip maybe stick with just Disney. There is SO much to do there!

When do you plan on going?

OK edited because I see someone said the same about Universal. Decisions Decisions lol

Hi there, and welcome aboard! I know what you mean, I'm glad I get to do all the planning for our trips because no one else in my family wants to do it either! ;)

The only thing I might add to what's been said is that if you are trying to keep expenses down, adding a day to your WDW tickets will more than likely be less expensive than buying everyone a one day ticket to Universal Studios. That's why we decided to forgo Universal this trip and add a day at WDW. (I'm sure WDW did not design their ticket structure that way by accident... :rolleyes1 !) But the bottom line is really that Universal is but a pale substitute for WDW, trust me! I hope you and your family has a magical time! :wave2:
