Hi, I am from scotland and staying offsite at villa next september with a hire car. We plan to visit couple of resorts and boardwalk. What is the best strategy for parking and any cost involved.

No parks? If you’re just visiting resorts you can park in their lots. Will you be dining at the resort?
Or park at Disney Springs and take the resort bus. Parking is free at Disney Springs and visiting resorts. The resorts do have a time limit. I think it’s 2 or 3 hrs.

Thanks for the reply. We are doing the parks but want to visit resort for horse riding, meals.

If you have a reservation for a meal or activity you should be able to park at the resort. Just tell the guard at the gate. They may ask for your name to check with reservations. There is a time limit though. Maybe two or three hours?

You may have a difficult time parking at the Boardwalk in Sept with Food & Wine going on if you are not a guest there.

I would go to The Boardwalk on a day you’re in Epcot. There’s a gate in World Showcase that will exit on the path to Boardwalk.
For Ft. Wilderness if you’re horseback riding or dining you can park at the resort then use the internal bus to get to the horseback riding.

As Deb & Bill said, parking at The Boardwalk May be difficult due to prox to the parks. So if you’re planning on going to Epcot it would be easy to combine. There is a fee for parking at all the parks. Resort parking for visitors is free, but has a 2-3 hr time limit, and parking is very limited at the Epcot and MK resorts.

Boardwalk is also easily accessed from DHS (it’s a bit further than it is from Epcot) if you cannot park in the lot and it doesn’t line up with Epcot plans you have.

Thanks Sue M, My partner is not a big fan of epcot and he doesnt like to stay there long so a visit to boardwalk would be ideal.
