OK, we have made an offer on an OKW resale!!!!!!!!! Our use year is October. We will have some points available, how can we make a resv. now? We also have some banked points, just like 90 I think and would like to utilize those for a II exchange for the weekend. We live very close to one of the exchange resorts. How does all of that work.

I read somewhere that someone said Disney was exercising its first right, anyone have any exp with that?

And if they do, how soon will we know?

You won't be able to make any reservations thru DVC until after closing and being enteered into the DVC computer- usually within a week of closing.

The II exchanges are for 7 day stays only- there is no provision for a weekend exchange, but there are options in the Concierge Collection where you can reserve as little as one day.

After your accepted offer is presented to Disney, they have 30 days to decide to exercise their ROFR. Once they have signed off on the offer, the closing process can begin. Your resale broker can probably provide some insight into where your offer is in the process.

It is in the concierge collection. How does that work exactly, do you go through member services? I just don't understand how that all happens.

We have used the concierge twice and have been pleased with both hotels we have stayed at. We called member services, told them where we wanted to stay and for how long, paid the $75.00 fee (now $95.00 I believe) and waited a short time for a confirmation call (the same day I believe).

Haven't had a problem and will be concierging again the weekend before T-giving at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.
