How does the bounceback work? that is, what are the savings and are they open-ended as far as dates?

Basically there will be an offer in your room of a specifc discount saying how much % you get off at the specifc resorts and the other side will have the months of the year saying when they are valid. You would also need to make a Bounceback reservation before you check-out of your Walt Disney World Resort so that's the one catch in this type of deal.

As of right now the Bounceback offer is for Free Dining available from 8/19/11 - 9/27/12. So if they are going to bring back the Room Only Bounceback discount rates chances are that won't happen until 2012, because it was this time last year when they were only offering Free Dining as a Bounceback rate.

I've read some posts from people who are down there right now, who have said that there are no bounceback deals being offered at this time at all. There are no flyers in the room and when they call the 8844 number they are being told that there are no bounceback deals at this time. Supposedly the last date to book the free dining one was the end of Oct (around the 27th I believe). Hopefully a new bounceback deal should be offered soon. I'll be down there in 16 days and was hoping for room only bounceback deals for my May, Sept, and next Dec trips.

you would think they would offer EXTRA deals to try to bring people back at almost any cost giving the travel economy and the choices available...

the refurbished area of Fantasyland probably will not awaken the sleeping masses and lure them to WDW.........imho
