Hi everyone!

This is my first post on the dis, so I hope I'm posting this question in the right section. :)

So here goes:
Is it extremely hot, humid, and/or rainy during September at WDW? This is my family's first trip to disney, and we really would like to go around then to save money, and to be in the park when it's less crowded, but dh and I will have a 12 month old, a 3 year old, and a 9 year old with Asthma. I can't imagine taking an infant when it is 90 degrees outside, and my son's Asthma is sometimes affected by weather. Also, I heard that September is during hurricane season, but I've been getting mixed reports about the weather and the crowds different from people. So if anybody has been around that time, and can tell me if it's really hot, rainy, or humid during that time, I'm all ears. Thanks.

I've been there twice in Sept. Once in 2002 and once in 2007. Both times were hot and humid. I'm from Nebraska and we have very hot humid summers here too and it seemed comparable to our summers. It did seem to rain more in Sept. then when we were there in Nov. but it usually happened when we were eating or back at our rooms for an afternoon break. Didn't really affect us too much and in fact unless we were touring the parks we didn't even notice it.

The crowds however were much different from 2002-2007. We were there during free dining in 2007 and it was packed. Maybe we just went the worng week because I kept an eye on the DIS before we left and everyone said the crowd levels were low. That was not our experience. It was horrible! I've already booked the free dining bounceback promotion for this Sept. but if it's offered to the public again I'm cancelling. I don't want to deal with those crowds again!

I want to take advantage of the free dining this year, it seems too good to pass up. Did you go around the begining or end of September? I was hoping it would cool off a bit towards the end. Also if you went around Labor Day, maybe that had something to do with the crowds? Also, I see you've stayed at the All Star Music and the POP. I'm trying to decide between the POP and the All Star Movie. How did you like the POP?

We were there in Sept 07 and while it was a little crowded, we did not wait in any line longer than 15 minutes. The worst was the line for Peter Pans flight believe it or not. While it was hot, it was not unbearable, we just kept our misting fans full. We were actually hotter in VA when we went in August then in FL in Sept.
