My family (DW, DD17, DD14, Ds10) stayed onsite for the first time this past June. We chose BC because it was close to Epcot and looked really great on the WD website (some way to choose :) ), plus we have 5 people. We fell in love with the place and are going back this January. While there, we talked to some people about DVC and want to look into it more on the next trip.

I'm trying to determine the number of points that would best fit our situation (twice a year visits - 1 week each and a DF of 5). When I look at the point charts it seems I would have to stay in a 2-bedroom or bigger unless someone stays home :sad2: . They read sleeps 4 or sleeps 8, does this mean thats how many can stay or that's what the accomodations can support (nobody sleeping on the floor)

I'm new to this and I hope this is an appropriate question  . If it isnt, please dont flame me and have it removed.

Thanks

A one bedroom will sleep 4, but Member Service is currently allowing 5 in a one bedroom, but no additional bedding or linens will be provided.

With two teens and one almost teen the two bedroom will be a lot more comfortable. You'll have a king sized bed in the master bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room and either two queen beds or one queen and one double sleeper sofa in the second bedroom.

With your family, I would advise a two bedroom. We stayed in a one bedroom at SSR with four - three adults and one 10 yr old and we felt crowded.

Hope this helps.

I agree with the 2 bedroom for you guys now when it comes to the points we got 450 and that covers our 8 and 9 night trips in july in Boardwalk view 2br, which are basically the same points spread as BV 2br, the best way to figuree out how many points you need is to download caskbill's DVC planner software. Caskbill is a moderator here and the links to software are in the signature.
