Newbie Question - Tuesday at MK?

Hi, all! I'm new to the board and planning my 3rd trip to WDW next week. I have WDW with Kids and the Unofficial Guide. My choices are M, Tu, W, Th or Fri. I know that Mon is early entry and I am not staying on the property so it would be better for me to avoid that day. I had originally thought Tuesday but in looking at the park hours, it is open til 7 M, W, Th, Fri but til 9:00 on Tuesday! Why? Will everyone looking at park hours be like me and decide to go on Tuesday?? Would I be better off to go Weds. and just have two less hours? (I have reservations for Chef Mickey's Wed that I'd have to cancel).

Trying to outguess the crowds is really giving me a headache!!!

EDITED TO ADD: I got the 9:00 closing time from disney.com. Someone on another thread posted a different link to park hours and it says 7:00 closing. That makes more sense!! Maybe it's just a typo. Boy I'd be peeved if I made my plans based on that!

Tuesday is usually a good day at the MK.

I talked to the folks at Dis when I booked my room last week and they said MK was open until 9 on Tue 6th. Hope this helps! I will be there for that day just because of the late night hopin to let my DS see tink fly!

When they originally posted the hours it was only open till 7. They extended to 9 so that they could have SpectroMagic one night (that's what the CM told me when I called). Glad to see they've updated the web site too. I'll be there!

They extended the Tues. hours in May so they could have Spectomagic and fireworks.

The question then becomes.. do you want to see either one? If neither, then another day then Tues would be the best choice. But if you do want to see them, then your choices would be a Sat. during your stay (which you do not list as a choice) or Tues. Tues would probably br less crowded than Sat.

Spectro is worth braving the crowd to see. We did that last year when it was only on once during our week there... and a Sat. none the less! It was not as bad as I expected crowd wise and we loved the parade!

If it is the ony night they are showing Spectromagic, watch it near the flag pole at the beginning of Main Street. Then take off as soon as the parade ends. You'll be right at the exit!

Monday is no longer early entry for MK. Sunday and Thursdays are the days for the extra magic hour at MK.
