Newbie question on reservations and point borrowing

Hi, I just purchased a resale contract with an Aug use year, no points available until Aug 2009. My question is, can I call now and make a reservation for Nov 2008 with borrowed points from 2009? Or do I need to wait for Aug 2008 before I can actively borrow points from 2009?

UY has nothing (at all) to do with when you can call...UY only really impacts your banking window.

as long as you have pts available in (or previously banked or borrowable into) the use year containing your reservation dates, you can call at 11 months to make a reservation.

(so had you owned the contract last year, you could have called in december 07 to make the reservation at your home resort for nov 08, even if you didn't have any pts in your 2007 or 2008 UYs.)
