Newbie question about cancelling a reservation and holding points....

Hey everyone... newbie DVC owner and am faced with having to cancel a trip that is less than 30 days away. I borrowed points from my NEXT use year so that means they will go into Holding Points. Am I understanding this correctly... I have to reuse the borrowed points in THIS use year and I can only make a new reserveration using these points 60 days out?

All the points go into holding, doesn't matter banked, borrowed or current and must be used by the end of the use year and only 60 days out.

During some periods and at some resorts, yes. You will probably need to be pretty flexible when you book your reservation with holding points.
