Newbie, of sorts

Hi I am sort of a newbie. I have been reading lots here on the DIS for a while now but have just officially joined. I am familiar with abbreviations, I have read many a trip report and some dining reviews and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought I would join the masses as I am planning a trip next May and may have some questions. The first being this: If I post something, will I be alerted via email if someone replies?

Welcome to the DIS. As you can see...lots of info to digest. May is a great time to visit as there are generally low crowds. As far as I know there is no automatic e-mail alert to you when there is a response to a posted topic.
