Newbie Magical Express Question

Hello, you lovely DISBoarders who have helped this newbie plan my Magical July (hot, hot, hot) vacation! I have loved reading all of your helpful hints

Here's my question/concern: My mom is joining my family (me, DH and two darling DDs) for the second part of our vacation. She is flying in at about 10:45 at night and "crashing" in our room....her room is not reserved until the next night.

Can she still take the Magical Express even though her stay doesn't start until the next day? Will they check her reservation info? Will she be kicked out? Banned forever? Should I just rent her a car?

PS We are staying at CBR because of all your wonderful comments. Thanks for helping a newbie out!

Oh yeah, is there is spot to learn all these abbreviations?

My DH surprised us on our trip in Nov. He was not on the reservations. He went to Magical Express Counter and told them he was not on the reservations and asked if he could get on Magical Express{DME} they sent him to another counter, which might have been Mears, He had to pay $20.00 and was told to go stand in line, which turned out to be Magical Express. So even without the reservations he still rode DME he had to pay but it was only $20.00. Your Mom can try it that way. He did call DME before he left home and they were the ones who told him to just go to DME counter when he got there.

She won't be able to use DME if she isn't listed on a resort reservation for the day she arrives. You could add her to yours, but that means an addtl charge to do so.
She could just take the Mears shuttle bus...for $19 one way. She can't reserve it in advance though. She would have to go to the Mears counter at MCO, just before the DME area on level 1, and then pay her fee. She might even be sent over to the DME area to board the DME bus heading to your resort..but that isn't always the case. She could be put on a Mears bus or in a Mears van.
That would be my recomendation..the Mears shuttle.
