newbie in Australia - best early morning transport to Anaheim?

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your suggestions of what to do with just one day in Disneyland. Now we're trying to work out the best way to get there nice and early from our hotel (Renaissance) in LA. Our travel agent booked us on a shuttle but it doesn't leave the hotel until 9.30 am. The train system sounds a bit of a nightmare. Are there shuttles that go early, or are we looking at a cab?
