We are staying offsite and will only do a couple of days of touring but want to tour the resorts etc and do Character meals etc. Which ones would u recommend for small children?

Thanks

I would go w/those that offer the characters that your children like. After knowing that, maybe some experienced DISers can give suggestions.

Having said that, if you are worried about them being able to sit still for a sit down meal, there are a few buffet character type meals.

Actually, I think my kids will be happy with any and all characters. Is it too late to make reservations for Dec christmas week?

Crystal Palace at MK has Pooh and friends. Always a favorite of the little ones. It's buffet style and has a variety of food.

I would do Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends also. For availability, call 407-WDW-DINE.

I also would recommend any meal at Crystal Palace with Pooh and the gang. It's buffet style so there is lots to choose from.

Another vote for Crystal Palace but you may have problems waiting until now to make ADRs for Christmas week. They will probably tell you they have no times left but you can still go by the podium first thing in the morning when the park opens and check. Often times they will hold a few tables for walk ups or there may be a cancellation. Good Luck :goodvibes

I suggest~

At MK~ Crystal Palace, and Liberty Tree Tavern if for Dinner

At Epcot~ The Garden Grille in The Land in Future World (not the half with all the countries:))

For AK or MGM studios, Id suggest a breakfast before, or a Dinner after at Either Chef Mickey's(the contemporary), Ohana (the Polynesian), or 1900 Park Faire (the Grand Floridian) all character meals on the monorail line

Ohana, LTT(dinner only for characters)), Garden Grille are served family style. The others are buffets

Don't forget Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Breakfast or dinner.

Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club has a great breakfast buffet with Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

At the GF, you have 1900 Park Faire buffet breakfast with Mary Poppins and Friends (like Alice, Mad Hatter, don't remember who else). Or dinner buffet with Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Perla and Suzy.

At the Polynesian, you have Ohana for breakfast with Lilo and Stitch.

My vote would go to Crystal Palace as well! :flower: (We also like the Garden Grill at Epcot.)

Absolutely Crystal Palace! But ya might have a problem getting an ADR for Christmas week.

Good Luck!

Thank you everyone for your replies. I was able to get reservations at Chrystal palace for lunch one day and the living seas restaurant (Coral Reef) for another day for lunch. DD loves acquariums so I think she will get a kick out of eating with fish around her.

I will try to book one of the disney hotels for dinners as well.

Excellent choices.......... If you are looking for a recommendation at the resorts I would like to suggest Boma at AKL if they are adventurous eaters, Whispering Canyon at WL just for the fun of it or 'Ohana at POLY for the view of the castle and fireworks.
