HI there!
Im thinking of renting points to travel to disney in march 2014. IM just trying to price it out. My understanding is you can rent points for 8-14 dollars a point. My problem is i cant find a chart that tells me how many points ill need for the port orleans riverside for 9 nights 8 days. All i can find are the villas and im pretty sure renting points for those wouldnt be worth it for us (family of 5). If someone could help this confused disney mama id sure appreaciate it.:)

I am fairly certain that renting points for a nonvilla stay is not going to be worth it. I think that port orleans is at least 20-30 points per night in low season. Just for dvc members it is a bad use of points for renting it would be significantly higher than payying disney.

Points are best used at DVC resorts. Check for Disney cash deals for POR.

You may want to read the above sticky-DVC Resource Center for more info on which resorts are DVC resorts and which ones you can put a family of 5 in- some 1 bedrooms can accommodate your family. There are also links to how many points are needed for each resort/level/time of year.

Port Orleans Riverside is not one of the DVC resorts. I highly doubt you'd find an owner willing to make this exchange for you. In all actuality, you will get a better deal and most likely nicer accommodations by renting a DVC villa than a room at POR.
