Having read a number of threads on this board I have now come to the conclusion that we are woefully unprepared for this trip. Thats pretty typical of us Brits, we do not make the most of our leisure time. We are coming out to Orlando in about a week or so, just in time for Memorial Weekend (Good Planning eh!). We have worked out the parks we want to visit by using the busy day guide. I would be grateful if you could offer some advice on the best Restaurants to eat in in the various parks.

Sunday - Animal Kingdom
Monday - Epcot/MGM Studios
Tuesday - Typhoon Lagoon (This is what we are considering a rest day)
Wednesday = Magic Kingdom
Thursday - Seaworld
Friday - Magic Kingdom

Saturday - We leave Orlando and drive to Marco Island for a week of relaxation at the beach.

In these restaurants will we be able to book or will it be a case of sit and wait for a table. Thanks for your help.

Sorry meant to say these restaurants are for evening meals, we won't have time to go back to our villa so our clothes will be shorts etc.

Check out wdwig.com

Deb has put together a great list of menus for the restaurants organized by park.

It is hard to recommend food places for other people because tastes vary so much. For instance, I would never miss Coral Reef, but I know that it gets mixed reviews from other people. I'm not into spicy food, so I have never eaten in Morocco in EPCOT World Showcase. Others just rave about it.

I think that if you take a look at Deb's site and narrow it down a bit that might help you. Also take a look at the restaurant boards here. They were a wealth of info for me!

Have a great trip! I wish I were going so soon!

I ate in Morocco and my meal was not at all spicy (I'm not real fond of spicy food either).

I'd think the meal selection might depend on the ages of your children and if you're more interested in a sit-down or counter service.

At the MK I'd recommend Columbia Harbour House and sit upstairs for a nice view of liberty square.. it's on the way out from Fantasyland but would avoid like the plague Pinoccio House, which was loud, crowded, and only mediocre at best. I really hate wandering around with my tray looking for a table with hungry kids in tow. Takes some of the magic out of my vacation. I usually prefer a sit down. My husband has always loved Liberty Tree Tavern and I've always wanted to try the castle, but have never done that one. We've done Tony's by the entrance, which was good and not as out of the way as you might think. Simply catch the train! That restaurant has always been uncrowded and unhurried and is a good choice if you're eating before exiting the park.

At Epcot there are so many good choices, and like the last poster said, it would depend on your tastes. I'd advise skipping the AMerican pavillion's fast food restaurant as it was the worst food I had on the whole trip. I liked Mexico for lunch, because it made you feel like you were outside under the stars and was extremely relaxing.

If you get a chance to eat at any of the resorts, I'd HIGHLY recommend O'Hanas at the Polynesian, especially if you have kids. Just when they're getting bored, there are coconut races for the kids. The food at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge was really, really excellent but less kid-friendly

Check out the retaurant forums and I'm sure you'll get a whole lot of input. Gee, I'm getting hungry!

We ate at the Sci-fi drive in theatre and the food was pretty good..The best part was the campy sci-fi films from the 50's and 60's on the giant screen..It was a good time! try it you might like it..have fun:Pinkbounc :bounce:   :chat:

Definitely will need PS for that weekend. UK guest also seemed to be more suceptible to the heat so lots of water and try to fit in a midday break.

www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm is the menu site

Here are some suggestions:
AK - Tusker house is pretty good. But if you want a good meal head over to the AKL. Bomas gets rave reviews.

EC - Le Cellier, Marrakesh, Akershus, Teppanyaki, Garden Grill

MK- LTT, or just leave the park and go to one of the nearby resorts, Konas, Narcoossees, Cal Grill.

Rest Day - Flying Fish, Yachtsmans St, Cape May Cafe, Trails End, Beaches & Cream. Whispering Canyon & Ohanas are a lot of fun.

Resort wear is seen in all the restaurants except for Victoria & Alberts.

Thanks for all your suggestions, guess some more research is called for. My kids are 9, 6 and 4, so I guess we need to figure that in to the equation.
