I have been lurking on this board for months and really enjoy all of the great info. and stories :)

I am in the pre-planning stages of "my" cruise for March 2004. That will be DH's and my 10 yr. ann. and a 7 day disney cruise is my dream.

Because the dates/rates are not yet out for 2004, I am going on what they are charging for March 2003 for a guestimate at price. If I were to book now for the March 14, 2003 cruise it would run $1,762.77 per adult and $537.27 per child (2kids) for a cat. 6, $200 more onto the total for a cat. 5. Disney.com did not give me the price for cat. 6 when I punched in my entire family, just when I was looking for prices on 2 adults.
Can a cat. 6 sleep 4?
Is there a way to get better prices than these? (for in 2004, time is on my side, I will do what I need to do, lol!)
Will booking for a cruise a few weeks sooner or later make a better price? (our ann. is the 20th of march but I could be abit flexible for a big savings:p )

Sorry for all of these ?'s all at once, I'm abit eager! :bounce:

Some of this is conjecture, so please take it as such. Some of the people from Dreams Unlimited on this board will probably be able to clarify for you.

Category 6 rooms will sleep 4 in some cases. The brouchure says "some sleep 4" for both category 5 and 6. The fourth berth in these rooms folds down from the wall over the sofa. Not all category 6's have this bed. My guess is that for March 14, 2003, there are no category 6's left which will sleep 4, that's why you weren't given that option on the DCL website.

Since this is the middle of March and is during spring break, my guess is that the ship is already pretty full, that's why the prices are fairly high. I would think that prices would be a bit lower when they begin 2004 bookings.

I'd suggest contacting Dreams Unlimited (link at the top of the page). They should be able to be more helpful than I am. And, if you book with them, they'll keep an eye on any discounts that come along, and should be able to adjust your fare accordingly.

I did try out dreams and it wouldn't let me punch in dates that far ahead yet. When the dates are released, dreams will most likely be the route I chose to go. I wonder if the first week of March would be less crowded and less $$$? I really would prefer to be on the cruise on my actual ann. though, the 20th that year falls on a Fri. (that is C.C. day right?) Thanks again for your input.

You're right, Friday is Castaway Cay day on the 7-day. I'd keep an eye on when they'll start booking for 2004, I would think it will be fairly soon. You should get a better rate just based on early booking. It may be cheaper the first week in March, but I'd agree that you'd want to be on the ship on your actual anniversary.

Good luck!
