Newbie has ???, Needs design help

I am a mewbie to this thread so forgive me if I am going about this the wrong way. I would like to make shirts for our upcoming trip in January. We are celebrating our DD birthday. Her name is Karlie and she will be 10. She likes Minnie and the princesses. I would like a special shirt for her for her day. The other members of my family are Kennedy (a girl who loves Goofy), Kate (18, but likes Tink) DH Bill (Grumpy and Donald Duck) and Me =Mom= Kelly (Pooh )
I see lots of designs on here I like but want to know how to get my family's name on them. I would like something that says 2009 Sheeley Family. If I want to use one of your designs how do I add our names???? TIA for any tips.
