Newbie From KY!!

Hey Just wanted to Introduce myself. I'm Stephanie. I'm a 28 yo single working mom to an almost 3 y.o. DD Kaylee and have two god children Summer (6) and Austin (8). I have a bunch of nieces and nephews (Marshall 4, Kasie 10, Billy 7, Malorie 1, and Rylee (due in June). We are FINALLY taking our first Disney vacation as an entire family next year in March 09. We have all be separately but never as a family. ANY tips would be greatly appreciated. We are staying off site in a condo so that we all can stay together and share the cost.

Welcome! What part of KY are you in? We are in NKY about 15 minutes south of Cincinnati.

I tried to plan a family trip to Disney. MIL and FIL are still considering going with us but my BIL/SIL and nephew don't want to go until nephew is older Isn't 4 old enough? Oh well maybe next time.

This will be the first trip for myself and my 2 DD's but DH went once as a very young child. I'm sure lots has changed in almost 30 years

We are planning on going in October when my 5 year old will be on fall break from Kindergarten. We will be staying onsite at a value more than likely Pop. I can't wait. I think I'm more excited than my DD's

I think the best way to do this is just jump in so to speak. There is a lot of great information here. As others, we have been there without kids and apart. However, we would to venture a try at taking them and keeping our sanity! Even though it is hot, does anyone have thoughts on what the parks are like in late August? We try to not to take the kids out of school. Base on everyone's posts, you are MUCH more experienced in planning than I will ever be and could use a step 1 and 2.

FInally saw some spring this weekend, isn't it such a welcomed sight!!

Have a blast in July. We are taking a small family vacation to Gatlinburg in June because we are still saving for our March 09 Disney trip!! Have a blast, can't wait to see pics when you return.

Even though I am stuck in Virginia.. Ky will always be my home. Growing up I lived in Olive Hill.. but Lexington and Nicholasville became my home after college till my DH took a job here in 1989.
