Hello there everyone. This is my first time venturing over here.

My sister and I are currently planning a trip to the UK/Ireland at the end of June 2010. She has agreed that at the end of our 2 week trip we can head to Paris for a few days at Disneyland Paris (:woohoo: ).

So how busy will it be that time of year? Any tips you would suggest? I've ben to the Disneyland website and looked some things over. But this is just so completely different from Disney World. We are completely out of our element for some reason while trying to plan this.

Also, does DLP have any sort of planning videos, or information that I can get?

I have a ton of questions circling around in my head, so I'll probably be around here quite a bit in the coming months!

Thanks for the help. :flower3:

so glad you posted b/c i'm in a similar boat. my travel agent hasn't been able to get me anything. grr. the only place we've been in europe is Ireland. So, I need as much info as possible.

If either of you have visited DL in California, then that should put you in a a reasonable position in visiting DLRP.

I did the opposite last year - visited DL having been to DLRP a few times and found my experience from DLRP to be very useful in finding my way around the park, knowing which rides I wanted to do (many of the rides in DLRP are quite similar to those in DL).

Unfortunately there arent any planning videos for DLP but a lot of people find the book - A Brits Guide to DLP - really useful in planning (even non Brits)

Also just spending time on here- reading trip reports/threads and asking questions should help as well

DLP is very compact compared to WDW (Ive never been to DL so cant compare with that). There are 2 parks - Disneyland park (similar to magic kingdom) and Studios park. They are both next to each other within a few minutes walking distance as is Disney Village.

There are 7 Disney hotels -again all within walking distance of the parks apart from Davy Crocket Ranch for whic you need a car as there is no shuttle bus.The others all have shuttle buses as well as being able to walk apart from the Disneyland Hotel which is right at the entrance.

We all have our favourite hotels and they vary in price from Santa Fe (cheapest) to Disneyland hotel- (most expensive).

There are many similarities between the parks and WDW but also many difference which make DLP unique

ask away with your questions and we will try to answer and help you plan your trip :cheer2:
