Newbie DVC and DDE

Sorry for such newbie questions. How does DDE work for DVC members? I thought that you had to be a Florida resident to get the DDE. Do we qualify as Florida residents since we "own" at DVC?
Can we order the card in the mail, or do we have to pick it up someplace at WDW?

The DDE is available to FL residents and AP (or PAP) holders. DVC members are not FL residents unless they also have a home in FL other than DVC.

If you have an AP or PAP, you can order the card by faxing the application with your AP number included on the form, plus add your credit card info so they can charge you the $65 for the card. FL pay $70 (I think). They can mail you your card or you can pick up a temporary card at Epcot Guest Relations at the front of the park.

Thanks for the response. I don't have my AP yet, DVC is sending me the form that I turn in to get the AP. Is the number I need for DDE on that?

Yes, give them the number on the voucher.
